Its a car the size of a tin bloody can. I'm not gonna strip it out and cage it just to weigh it down with some bling wheels, whilst totally wrecking the rolling radius and acceleration. Its meant to be a little, nippy, hillclimb-inspired funbox, not a bling wagon.
Anywat, the RS only has 17's on it, and thats about twice the size!
I drove the tCDi Focus when I was on work in Sweden, and it was properly dredful. No go, wobbly suspention, sloppy handling. Then again, just about anythings better than an Escrote.
To top it all off, I ground the Focus on a concrete ramp (on their premises nonetheless) and split the sump. Rental company tried to charge me even though it was their liablilty.

Geez . . . Mazda 3's are really nice, so a Focus can't be that bad! And I heard that the RS gets rave reviews in Europe.

In Aus, the XR5 Turbo will be one of the most significant cars of 2006.

How so? have you ever been in one?

My mates mum has one and we took it for a spin. It has loads of room, feels solid and well built, handles alright, and has plenty of power :| And in my books, that = nice car

The Mazda 3's arent so bad thb, but I prefer their internal layout and styling to that of the Focus. Not that I particularly like either- as far as I'm concerned, with the exception of the RS and ST, the Focus series are just a cheap form of transport, nothing more.

I hope you know that a Polo is nothing more than that, exept the cheap part cause VW are everything BUT cheap, the only thing cheap about a VW is what VW pust in their cars as standard, in other words nothing exept the things you really need to drive any luxury part is a bloody extra even a ashtray :?

Most VW look pretty nice (abit common but he) but I don't think they are worth the extra money, but he that is my opinion.

The Polo cost me bugger all, and is good fun. Its actually a suprisingly nice change from driving a 332whp Audi with Touring-Car spec suspention. To be honest, the Polo's putting out alot more bhp/ton than a Focus, it holds the road better than the tCDi I've driven, is more fun and much cheaper to run. To top it off, its well built and pretty much scratchproof, and very easy to tinker. The only real problem is the brakes are shoddy.
If anyones interested, there are some new pics of the Audi, now its cleaner and sitting lower on KW V.2's. Pics were taken at work, when I've got the Samco turbo and coolant hoses in and tidied the engine bay, expect some pics of that too.
Heres a pic of the Audi's spoiler and Porsche brakes. Yummy.

steelsnake00, a 6N Polo is currently pretty cheap, but I am talking about new car prices. and IMO VW is anything but cheap if you see what you get.

Yeah, true. But I've never bought a car new in my life. Theres no point. The Audi cost me the same to buy AND modify as your average 1997 Impreza and is pushing out over 100bhp more. VW's are more expensive to buy, granted, but they dont fall apart like French cars (my mates 20k mile Clio 172 is on its third set of inside door handles), or break down like Italian ones. Fords are beginning to become less bland and more reliable though.

Its nice. One thing I don't like. FWD. Shoulda' bought an A4 Quattro- a 2nd hand 1.8T Sportline wouldn't cost any more, and your could have probably pushed to a 2.7 BiTurbo
Nice though. I'd drive it, but wouldn't swap the Audi for it. Then again, I wouldn't for much =\
