Rock Music
The Beatles are definitely rock (although admittedly, everything released before Rubber Soul is more pop music), but I'd also catagorize them as awesome.
"A Day in the Life" is particulairly good (along with the album it's off of, Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band - the top album of all time, according to Rolling Stone magazine). My favourite songs by the Beatles, however, are "Revolution" and "While My Guitar Gently Weeps."

i dont think theres a song by the beatles called happy together, but theres a song that has those lyrics that sounds like the beatles....
for some reason i like some of the songs by the beatles that are slow and calm....
then i like their more modern rock songs like helter skelter.
lisen to that song the whole time, at the end a random guy says: "IVE GOT BLISTAS ON MY FINGAS!"

You sure you don't mean this one..?Jopuma wrote:Huh.
I don't know the name of that one song, but I think it might've been something like "Happy Together". That one is so cool.
The Turtles, 'Happy Together', 1967 wrote:Imagine me and you I do
I think about you day and night
It's only right
To think about the girl you love
And hold her tight
So happy together
If I should call you up invest a dime
And you say you belong to me
And ease my mind
Imagine how the world could be
So very fine
So happy together
I can see me lovin' nobody but you
For all my life
When you're with me baby the skies'll be blue
For all my life
Me and you and you and me
No matter how they toss the dice
It had to be
The only one for me is you
And you for me
So happy together
I can see me lovin' nobody but you
For all my life
When you're with me baby the skies'll be blue
For all my life
Me and you and you and me
No matter how they toss the dice
It had to be
The only one for me is you
And you for me
So happy together
Me and you and you and me
No matter how they toss the dice
It had to be
The only one for me is you
And you for me
So happy together
So happy together
How is the weather
So happy together
We're happy together
So happy together
Happy together
So happy together
So happy together

He sure doesn't sound alright . . .Jopuma wrote:"I'm Not Alright"
It's better if you read the lyrics.
If weakness is a wound
That no one wants to speak of
Then cool is just how far we have to fall
I am not immune
I only want to be loved
But I feel safe behind the firewall
Can I lose my need to impress?
If you want the truth, I need to confess
Im not all right
Im broken inside
And all I go through
It leads me to you.
Burn away the pride
Bring me to my weakness
Until everything I hide behind is gone
And when Im open wide
With nothing left to cling to
Only you are there to lead me on
Honestly, Im not that strong
Im not all right
Im broken inside
And all I go through
It leads me to you.
And I move closer to you
Im not all right thats why I need you.

There are still a lot of good rock bands nowadays... and i agree some of punk bands today really sucks though.Pigbenis wrote:YAY! I can still remember my high school days when we used to listen to Metallica, Nirvana, Red Hot, Rage againts the machine... no rap!

It depends how you see it... If you consider them rap-rock becuase of the way they deliver their lines then might as well name Red Hot rap-rock too!
In my opinion RATM is more rock than most of the so "called" rock bands of today. Listen to their lyrics you will understand why i consider them as hardcore rock.
Beastieboys, Limp, Linkinpark, Deftones, POD... they all use turntables while RATM don't which makes them different.
