Just got this set-up:
EDIT: Overlong URL removed. Go learn about http://tinyurl.com
It retails for $200 as you can see but I went to bestbuy and the only one of these they had was the display model which had been taken out of it's box and put on display a week ago. They sold me the display for only $165. It came with a free 1-year warranty from sony and 30 days to return it to the store if anything happens. And I just got the owners manual in my e-mail from sony 30 minutes after I called them. I can crank this up all I want and theres no distortion, I'm testing it out with Mission Impossible II.

Obviously 2 at the front, 2 at the back, one center placed and the subwoofer anywhere you want.

Has anyone tried inputting their system into a stereo and outputing it again, like an amplifier?

I have, it makes my fairly cheap Logitec X530 5.1 system shake any loose panel in the house, and its great when I use the sub as a foot stand

You know what sucks? That system is slightly cheaper than mine, but it has far over twice the total wattage :x

Lots of watts doesn't make something good. It's how you use the watts

@ Tunerfreak: Where'd you get your system, because I have the same setup and it only cost me like $55.

@Bogan, yeah I get what you mean. But my stereo is usually running loud enough to deafen me, so it needs a good amount of wattage for me

I actually got my system for free becuase I put together dad's buisnesses website, but it cost $180NZD or something like that new at the time.

lol, mine is kick ass  when i got it i showed it to a friend of mine, he said he could get it to do better than it did, so i asked him how, he took it to his shop and changed the amp on the back, i don't even know how he did it, but it sure does more than the 560 that's on the box  my mom came in my room in nyc once and unplugged it cause i had it up too loud
damn, i can't wait to go back to campus :?
