NFS: U2 Trying to host LAN NEED HELP PLEASE

Everytime i try to start a host server, I get a message that says "You have lost you connection to the LAN server. Please makes sure your network cable is pluged in. You will be returned to the main menu." I have tryed checking my netowork stuff but everything works. In the DXDIAG my directplay works, and i can play UT2004, AOE: 3, Nascar 2003, all being the host with no problmes.

Do i need to load that stupid online gameing program it asks about when i load some games? GameSpy or something? What else should i try?

hmmm yeah i tried the same but still nothing,but i heard that maybe it could be fixed with downloading some programs from internet or something but i`m not sure
