Despite the scoreline that match wasn't that bad, a lot of good play from Argentina and Hollan defended very good and got a couple of chances themselves. To be honest I don't think anyone was expecting this to an exciting match, as they' both already qualified....

Is it? I didn't know they had one.. I didn't manage to even watch finish the first half 'cuz I fell asleep. It's broadcasted in the wee hours of the morning here.

I'm just thankful that we (England) don't have to meet Germany in the next round. How the hell did we let that second goal of Sweden's in? Aldershot Town FC could have defended better.

I'm afraid I'm somewhat partisan - I only watch the England games. Sorry for the late reply, but I've only just found this thread :D

HAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA........HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

2-2 is all we need. AUSTRALIA is through to the round of 16 for the first time. Dont worry kid cro and dragster...there is always another world cup in 4 years :D 8)

anyway....enough of that

the umpire/refaree of the game had no idea what the hell he was doing. it was terrible. vaduka was taskled to the ground at the 7 min mark, no penalty..then there was clearly a handball in the second half.no penalty...
but the worst one is..one of the croatia players was given 3 yellow cards..WTF...he never got sent off after the 2nd one.

i cant remember his name

His name is Å imunić!
Damn we was sooooo stupid!! We scored a goal and play defence 100%! No attacks at all! O_O It was obviously that australia will score from all that shots, yeah both, faul and handball were penalty! Our first goal was realy amazing!
BTW. Next EC is in CRO and SLO!! :D

How we played against Australia just gives us a reason to be happy we got kicked out of the cup... extremely lousy performance, with that kind of play we don't have anything to do in the 1/8 finals...

Individual errors, like handballs by Tomas are unforgivable!

And I don't really know what's the fuss about the result, the only goal we scored properly was the first one, the other one was an error by the aussie goalkeeper, we didn't even deserve the tie... meh i'm so dissapointed!

But what is the point of advance when Italy wait you in 1/8 finals!
We would be definatly defeated from Italy, and Australia will lose with 2 goals min!

If you're gonna go to Fed Square, you better get there early, apparently last time it was packed to capacity [10,000 people] and they set up another screen at Birrarung Marr. Even though its packed, I've heard that the atmosphere there is awesome :D

FORZA ITALIA

Nothing against Aussies, but Italy is going to the next round, unless they f**k it up themselves(wouldn't be the first time). I think they've been playing greatly so far except against USA, but even that was a tie.

Now gotta go watch ARG-MEX, Mexico is already leading 1-0...

correction it's 1-1
