Need For Speed: Carbon
It doesn't look like a IX, the IX has dark taillights and the front indicators are placed on the lower half of the headlights, not the upper half.SkeeteRX7 wrote:And the Evolution IX is in the game.
Speaking of Evo's, they should have had the 6-speed MR Edition in Most Wanted, not the standard one. I hated how if you used an Evo you would top out on a highway very quickly and high-level cops would quickly and easily catch up to you.
Plus, six speeds are used to keep the engine in the optimal RPM range, not for top speed. You can make the gears of a 4-speed box very long, but it'd take a while to accelerate.
Your post pretty much rapes mine by posting that picture, but I rape EA because they do not create exact replicas of real life cars. And I'm talking about small details here.. ^^
And it looks like it's still running on Evo VIII Enkei rims, while the IX doesn't have them.
Sorry I mistyped the IX, and cause such reactions.
but Baadmw your right, I didn't notice that picture before. and it is the FB of a IX
as long as they give it the right specs and not keep the engine specs of the standard EVO VIII cause the normal 8 had not enough HP and a 5 speed. and the 9 has a 6 speed and several HP extra stockwise.

smoothie has some info on the demo:
----------------------------------------------
Demo will be out much earlier than the NFSMW demo was.
What it'll contain is still being determined, but it'll give you a solid look/feel of what the core elements of the game will be.

What he doesn't mention is are they talking about the console demo or PC demo?

has any1 read the 7 page front cover article about nfs carbon on game informer magazine???? if not then do so. you build a team, consist of fabricators, mechanics, "fixers" (who fix certain events), also ai driving teamates, blockers, drafters etc. you have to take over differnt section of the map, with your team, some sections more valuable than others (might be a cool teamate that only hangs around one section) three differnt car classes, muscle, street tuner, and exotic with over 50 differnt vehicles. also the customizatiopn is really customization, you can design and mold your kits for your cars with sliders, like the customization in tiger woods pga 2006
. so far i'm liking what i'm reading.

Thats good info that i missed on previous pages.
But one thing i don't understand
BluePhirePB: When you mentioned they should add the S15 Silvia, i really wonder why they never put that in UG1 to start with, 350Z comes out, they chuck it in UG1, S15 is a great tuner car, and very popular, and we never saw it in UG1, 2 or MW... I just don't understand it. Kudos to EA if they chuck it into Carbon

Week or two before the official game release if I remember well. No point in asking when the demo's coming out though. They just let it out to get us begging and... biting our nails and stuff about, but they'll announce the date just when they want to. Or have people bombard their ftp servers and scan for it day by day.
I don't use pwned. I use BSODed. It's less cool and harder to say. I know.

So the demo of Need for Speed Carbon will be out much earlier than the NFS Most Wanted demo was - the NFSMW demo for PC was released on November 11th.
What it'll contain is still being determined, but it'll give you a solid look/feel of what the core elements of the game will be.
Regarding Customization we may can expect that the will be no "star system".
Most aspects of games (especially for NFS) are included if they fit or make sense to the overall concept.
The rating aspects of Underground games was included because the style aspect is core to that racing scene. Customization was scaled back in MW because the racing and cop evasion was the core concept, not customization. So where does Carbon fit in this? You'll have to wait and see.
And finally, because we still get questions about that: YES there will be police in the game, but not the same way as in Need for Speed Most Wanted.
Electronic Arts announced today (according to the magazine Gameinformer) that they have signed actress Emanuelle Vaugier for Need for Speed Carbon sein wird. Currently Vaugier can be seen in the sitcom Two and a Half Men and the upcoming as well as in the upcoming John Carpenter film Master of Horror.
