I know about Pushrods, but I Ment the cars themselfs. Cause if I named a car that infact does have a DOHC and I name it as a Pushrod system, I will be attacked

I worked with a pushrod engine while I was at sea It was a Wartsila 6L20 engine. with just over 1000 bhp a diesel ofcourse. it also worked with pushrods, simply because what you said, it is reliable, and who cares about the weight on a ship  and easy to adjust the rockers and valves.

But I truely forgot that the V engines are also in Pushrod systems.

Well that's coz they are running with 2 strokes engines wich are for big boats and heavy machinery! They are strong but slow and they need whole life to accelerate!

Again, it's a huge-ass boat, it's not going to accelerate quickly anyway. Oh, and Stig, are you sure the engine was only 1,000 bhp? Because that seems a little whimpy for a ship. :| One of these produces up to 6,000 bhp.

It was infact a 4 stroke mid speed engine. mid speed is basicly what a car runs while idle so a normal speed of 1000 rpm I really have no Idea what the redline is cause you never go to any other speed then basicly idle.
You start the engine and it runs at a constant speed you adjust the speed of the ship by adjusting the blades on the screw.
And I know absolutely sure it was a 1000 bhp engine. cause for a engine of 1000 or less hp you don't need a engineer in the machineroom 24/7, actually it was capable of abit over 1000 due to the fact that the captain had fidled abit with the compressed air that starts the engine (on ships you use air to start the engine.. a starter engine would be way to big and thus useless.
The Air is forced into the cylinders and pushed the pistons down and wel basicly create the same effect as a starter engine, but with some modifications you could use it as a extra boost of air just like a turbo but only the engine already has a turbo... (and a big one :P) forcing more air int the engine.
The extra power remained untill the compressed air tanks where empty. I have no clue what the HP gain was but you could hear and see (on displays) the engine run on a higher rpm.
and it did about 2 nautical miles a hour more... wich for most isn't much but if you have a topspeed of aroun 11 Nautical miles (20 kmh / 13 Mph) a boost of 2 Nmiles is pretty much  but it lasted only a hour orso.. but was really usefull in bad weather when you almost grind to a halt.
The ship was a 85 meter long coaster at a gros tonage of 1500 t. so pretty small.
It was this little ship.

Btw I thought this was about Prototype cars... it was nice but time to go back to topic again... eh?

nothing really. ive only seen it in hondas, which are japanese tuners/ricers/drifters/whatever you call it and not italian ferraris. imo the ferrari looks wierd.
DOHC was in fact designed by Honda, however, it's been used in racing bikes for much longer (since the 60's) than is has in cars.

My car is 16 valve (4 per cyl) DOHC, nothing special :)

Sorry about my lack of research but is anyone doing anything about an S16 or another Silvia?

Ferrari doesn't use VTEC, so no.

They have their own variable valve timing system that works by grinding two different profiles onto one cam and sliding the cams back and forth.

And for anyone who doesn't know yet, the new VE Commodore has been released:

They are realy getting into this!

Performance Specs

The Tesla Roadster’s specs illustrate what it does (0 to 60 in about 4 seconds) — as well as what it doesn’t (zero emissions, zero motor oil). With one moving part in the motor, no clutch, and two gears, it’s not only a joy to drive, but to own as well. There is no motor oil to change; no filters, belts, or spark plugs to replace; no oxygen sensors to mistrust before an emissions test — in fact, no emissions test required ever. Other than inspection, the only service we recommend for the first 100,000 miles is brake and tire service.
Tesla Roadster Specifications*
Style 2-seat, open-top, rear-drive roadster
Drivetrain Electric motor with 2-speed electric-shift manual transmission with integral differential
Motor 3-phase, 4-pole electric motor, 248hp peak (185kW), redline 13,500 rpm, regenerative "engine braking"
Chassis Bonded extruded aluminum with 4-wheel wishbone suspension
Brakes 4-wheel disc brakes with ABS
Acceleration 0 to 60 in about 4 seconds
Top Speed Over 130 mph
Range 250 miles EPA highway
Battery Life Useful battery life in excess of 100,000 miles
Energy Storage System Custom microprocessor-controlled lithium-ion battery pack
Full Charge As short as 3.5 hours

Why the Name "Tesla"?

The namesake of our Tesla Roadster is the genius Nikola Tesla, a Serbian-born American inventor, electrical engineer, and scientist. Among his life‘s many inventions (and over 700 patents) are the induction motor and alternating-current power transmission. Without Tesla‘s vision and brilliance, our car wouldn‘t be possible. We‘re confident that if he were alive today, Nikola Tesla would look over our car and nod his head with both understanding and approval.

     WTF!!!!??? Serbian!!?? He was Croat you not informed idiots!!!

Well that was info and half!

I think they used the Elise as a base and added on the bits (a front end that looks like the Koniggeghkazq...seg and back end from a Carrera GT)

Not a chance.

All of that electric rubbish isn't light, and therefore the Tesla weighs well over 200kg more than an Elise.

Electric cars are mere toys. Edit: like rotaries

Well, pretty much. They aren't very efficient and would probably be a waste of gas money for every-day driving. :|

You play with it, you don't use it as a everyday driver. It's just there for fun.
