I used regular spray paint. The case is metal. The front is plastic. You can put a few coats of clear coat to make it better. try to stay away from metallic silver cause it takes a long time to dry.

If you use a very thin coat of varish it will prtect it . You have to make it very thin though , other wise it will look horrible. ..

my case is black and made of steel. that's why the nicks in the paint, especially around the edges when it was manhandled, seem so prominent. i'll give it a try if i can find the time. i've never used spray paint before, but im sure i can find a few people in my school who're willing to show/help me.

My current setup:

Coolermaster Wavemaster case. with 4 blue LED fans and a blue LED's in the 450W power input (also coolermaster as are the fans)
ASUS A8N (if I am not mistaken)
AMD 64 3000+
ATI Radeon 9800XT
120 Gb HDD
LG DVD CDWriter
LG LCD monitor, sorry don't wich exactly.
Coolermaster keyboard (simply because it is simple and looks bulletproof and looks cool)
cheap basic logitec mouse with wire and ball. I got sick of the batterylife of my Microsoft wireless mouse. and had this lying around somewhere and it works!

At the end of the year I'm planning on upgrading the PC again.
alot will stay the same but it has to be faster that's all.

So will most likely get a other board but wich?? Most likely a ASUS again.
CPU: AMD 64 X2 4600 or maybe a 4800 but it all depens on what the prices are in a few months.
Videocard: ASUS EAX1900XT/2DHTV, 512 MB
maybe a 1024 RAM add. and I want a new wireless mouse but a much better one then the one I had, one with a rechargeble battery not just AA cells.
And a silver colored DVD player, a basic player without a writing function. used the writer like 2 times in 3 years and I won't burn/copy DVD's so don't need that eighter. and for me it is a waste of money.

And why the hell would you do that?
If you need to update so badly, update your cpu and ram, not your gfx.

I think t3ice assumed that because 7900 sounded bigger than 7800, it was better.

Me smells a bit'o'shiznit...

Obviously not.

If you put a spoiler on your 50bhp car, will you go faster around a track? NO.

That's because the car isn't able to make use of the spoiler. Same with your rig. You got super powerful graphic cards, but your processor and RAM lack. They'll slow down your overall performance because they don't make good use of the cards.

I don't know why you don't like WD, I've had that hard drive for well over 2 years and have never had any problems with it.

i've had 6 WD hard drives keel over and die, each and evey one a few days after the warranty expired. they were all on different systems built at different times, used by different people to do different things. yet they all suffered from a read/write head failure.

You should get an even more powerful CPU if you can.
And the 2nd gig of ram wouldn't hurt.
