I read on NFS-Planet that an official release date was November 2. This applies to the current platforms.

oh how i wish we were told this new version of nfs at a later date.... they told us now and alll of us need to wait for an agonising 3 months for the release.. at least release it one month b4 the release...then we would not have to wait soooo long...

yes we do know when it will be released?!

EA finally announced the official release date for NFS Carbon. So it will be the 2nd of November 06 for the current platforms.

Only for the next-gen consoles from Nintendo (Wii, 9th November) and from Sony (PS3, 16th November) the release will be a little bit later.

Update

EA has released an official car list containing 12 cars. This is not all of the cars in the game, so don't be worried. This time around, EA is releasing the car list in chunks instead of all at once. The car list is also missing one of the cars seen in the demo of NFS:C. I'm including it in the list here, but it's not part of the official list. So here is the car list as it stands:

Confirmed Cars
Aston Martin DB9
Chevrolet Camaro SS (1967)
Dodge Challenger
Dodge Charger (2007)
Dodge Viper SRT10
Ford Mustang Shelby GT-500 (2007)
Lamborghini Gallardo
Mazda 3

Yup. If I had to guess, I would assume that EA carefully created the list to include only cars that have already been seen in screenshots. Why all the secrecy, I wonder?

guys, you maybe need to check the post that smoothie did hours ago in the EA forums. A dude listed the 12 cars also mentioned here and the ones we can see in the trailers, but smoothie's answer was very very curious, just read it....it's in the NFS:CARBON general discussion thread...

If that's not the official list then maybe expect some unseen cars to be revealed. When they were annoucing the cars for Most Wanted, they told the Elise and the Audi TT would be included, and they hadn't been shown on any screenshots prior to the time of the announcement.

nuttin` new in carlist, aparently we saw 12-13 cars on the pics/vids .. hope that Smothie will come with something new
