well, i downloaded the demo, burned it, played it. And it was awsome,

or,

rather laggish?, i thought it lagged like hell!! couldnt they made it a little worse graphic so it didnt lagg that much,
second, i thought all races was awsome included drift. First when i played the drift stage i sucked really hard, haha , but later on i got the catch of it and pwnd

anyway, it was completley different! ( in a good way )

well, all that is left is just too w8 for the whole game to come out and yeah, you know play it!

At first, I thought it was just a different name for Porsch Unleashed because it says, "Licensed from Dr. Ing h.c.F. Porsche AG under certain patents." after but then I realized, PU came in 2000 and the only NFS game that came out in 2002 is Hot Pursuit 2. I'm just guessing Need for Speed: Top Speed might just be a compilation of previous NFS games because I can't find any information on it...

i think that they started making in 02 and didn't bother to finish it, the only cars they got were porsches.

If I remember correctly, EA had planned a Top Speed as a Porsche Unleashed 2 to follow up Porsche Unleashed, but the idea was scrapped. I remember coming across Top Speed in 2001 when I was searching for downloadable content for Porsche Unleashed.

Since when did you come to that conclusion? It could be a number of manufacturers they're having trouble with the licensing agreement...but indeed...somewhere...in the depths of my mind...there is still hope that EA will re-introduce Ferraris to NFS in Carbon...

Indeed, I'm saddened by the fact there won't be a McLaren F1. In a way, I was expecting this but it's still not good news...I've never really been a fan of the SLR.

Some good news for Europeans:

EA seems to have learned from last year's NFS Most Wanted. In Europe the NFSMW Black Edition was only available for Playstation 2, but with Need for Speed Carbon things should be different.

Amazon.de (Germany) added the Need for Speed Carbon Collector's Edition for PC and PS2 to their sortiment. For PC there will be a Collector's Edition and a normal version - released on DVD.
