How many tiems do i have to say this?HouseMD93 wrote:oh no, i wanted to drive a 06 Koing CSX, but it comes in the collectors edition...
the collectors editon wil have 3 exclusive cars. there will also be 10 excuively tuned cars. the gameinformer article said there will be 10 exclusive cars including the 240sx, jaguar xk, camaro concept, and ccx. they were more than likely talking about the 10 pretuned cars.

IGN's Need For Speed Carbon Demo Impressions:
Drifting sucks. Autoscultping rules.

EDIT: I believe that is the new Jaguar XK8 in the background:

Funny that EA was so hyped about their new drifting physics.2furio wrote:IGN's Need For Speed Carbon Demo Impressions:

Turns out it's the biggest load of bullcrap ever. They don't even know if the things they make are good or bad.
Drifting is diffirent this year, that does not mean it sucks.. yeah it it harder then before.
But if you try abit you can get the hang of it, and they key to getting high scores it to combine drifts to get the multiplier up. and make sure you do long drifts in the colored area, and not on the streights cause they are for builing up speed so you can get a good entry.
My review of the xbox 360 demo:
Tracks
The track racing is nice, but a bit to much Underground 2 style imo but with more cars (8)
not really hard to win
The drifting is completely diffirent and harder to get some high scores.
The Canyon Dual is nice but the track reminded me alot of NFS U2 in the mountains (some parts that is)
I won 1 time instantly because I passed the opponent. and 2 times by having more points left
The cars:
I think I will go mainly for tuners in Carbon, simply because in the dual the Evo was so much better at going around the sharp corners then the other 2 cars.
Mitsubishi Evolution IX MR
Great handling nice acceleration, great for racing in the canyons and great I found it to be the best drifter of the 3.
Lamborghini Gallardo:
For track racing it is a good car, it's fast and handles pretty much like it does in MW, for drifting it was not as good as the Evo, it looses it speed pretty fast so you need a good entry speed and angle to get the drift going.
Chevrolet Camaro SS:
Haven't tried it much but it handles alot less then the other 2 cars that is for sure.
I tried drifting it and did not manange very well, could be because it was one of the first tries.
I will test the Camaro later on again.
Autosculp:
Well we hear all the hype, but to be honest, I don't really thing I am that impressed.
The autosculp rim part is the best option of it all, it has 9 places to change but some are rediculous, like the with of the tires, you can make it so extremely wide that the rear tires almost meet.
I sure hope there are more rims to sculp cause the one in the demo was not that nice imo.
Other parts, well basicly you can do the most with the Muscle cars, cause the have the huge blower and Choptop option.
As for the body options you can basicly lower the body abit on all sides and enlarge the airducts and intercooler opening.
The spoiler option for the Exotics and Tuners is pretty nice cause you can adjust the side of the spoier and the angle wich is pretty nice.
The bodykit on the Evo was also pretty decent, better then I expected from EA (looking at the bodies they made before.)
other parts the tuning isn't very much,
I was hoping that if you made airholes in the hood that you could move them where you want, but the computer still decides where they come and how many there are. you can only decide the size and angle/how deep the holes are.
Like Bojan said if you have half a hour you finish the demo including retrying.

Sadly, no you can't.
I was hoping you could change the front and rear wheels but you can't
Cause some deeper dish wheels in the rear would look pretty nice.
The rear wheels do go deeper then the front so you don't have rediculous front wheels.
Ooh btw I was just watching some of the movies of the hands on.
And there was a 240SX racing in one of them (and it was tuned) so it sure looks like the 240 is a regular car that can be tuned etc.
ooh and if the red car in the movie is a Jag, then I assume it is not exclusive eighter eh?
