The thread was unlocked a few days ago when he said IGN would post new pictures of the Collector's Edition exlcusive cars but all we've taken were just pictures of normal cars and still no new cars shown...
Reason for Delay in Germany
We recently reported here that the release of Need for Speed Carbon is delayed in Germany 9th November 2006.
Now we received an answer from EA Germany:
"Because of the high number of pieces for the Need For Speed - production and the limited bandwidth at the pressroom we head to move back the release date for one week."
Regarding the PC demo we don't have anything new, just that it'll be released at the latest end of October.

This is not the case with Most Wanted, NFS MW was made to be better on the 360 then on ANY other system including the best PC ever build.Ceano wrote:Well that totally depends on if you have a good computer or not, i have a rely good gaming computer and no console is even coming close to what my PC can perform in both visual and gaming experience.TheStig wrote:(NFS MW on the 360 for instance is alot better then on the PC even on max settings.)
(I have tried every gaming console there is because my daughter's fiance has his own computer/gaming store, and yes I get all my games for FREE).
If the game builder makes a game software wise better on a specific system it does not matter how good your PC or other system is you CAN NOT beat it.
And 2Furio go stereotype all you want, but you can't win. cause why in earths name would you want to install a 32" TV sceen to your PC cause you eighter need to place your complete PC system to where the TV is or get need to have a huge desk where you can put your TV sceen on.
Ooh and the comment with telling that people with a console can't buy a high end PC.. the setup I have in my livingroom (TV, 360 and audio system) is way more expensive then a high end PC, The TV alone was more expensive then the PC I got and at the time I got it it was the most expensive PC setup I could get
And I am not even going to start about the Audio setup.
But like I said stereotype all you want, we know you hate consoles, but exept the FACT that not everybody shares that opinion.
The TV is not installed to my computer. I have a normal 17" monitor for daily gaming and Internet (so if someone needs to watch the TV, I'm not in the way) but when I have people over, it takes less than 2 minutes to move the computer and hook it up to the DVI plug in the TV. I don't have a huge desk, it is just a normal glass table where my TV is sitting and when I bring the computer in, the DVI cable is long enough that I don't have to keep the computer near the TV. And the LCD is indeed better, since the picture is a lot sharper and I actually think Most Wanted (and any other game for that fact) looks better.TheStig wrote:cause why in earths name would you want to install a 32" TV sceen to your PC cause you eighter need to place your complete PC system to where the TV is or get need to have a huge desk where you can put your TV sceen on.

These following links (that have been posted earlier) have some pretty interesting content.
http://autosculpt.needforspeedcarbon.co.uk/
http://iconengine.needforspeedcarbon.co.uk/
Most notable is the IconEngine feature. It showcases an aspect of NFS Carbon not shown before, namely Crew Logo customization. The option was seen in the menu in a few videos, but the feature was not shown. The IconEngine feature on the website showcases this, and quite honestly, I believe that if this is in the game, it will yield some VERY interesting results.

Hi guys,
I’ve been a lurker here for a couple of years on and off, and I finally decided to join you fine folks this evening.
Anyway, over the last month or two, I’ve been reading this thread on a near daily basis, and since I haven’t seen this mentioned already, hopefully I haven't missed it, I felt that I should bring this to everyone’s attention. According to a PunchJump.com news article, customers who preorder the Collectors Edition for the Xbox 360 will receive an Xbox Live Marketplace token which will allow them to download a free 2007 Ford Mustang Shelby GT.

Assuming that the news article is correct, I believe that this is the car in question. If it is indeed the car in question, I believe that it will be a fine addition to what already appears to be a very well rounded lineup.
Matt

Not to be an a** or anything, but the 2007 Shelby GT500 has been on the expected carlist for a while. It was seen in one screenshot from ages ago, and was only noticeable because of a cobra on the front grill. It's still an uncomfirmed car as it's been seen only in one screenshot, but since the older GT500 is in the game, the newer one will probably be in as well.Matthew wrote:According to a PunchJump.com news article, customers who preorder the Collectors Edition for the Xbox 360 will receive an Xbox Live Marketplace token which will allow them to download a free 2007 Ford Mustang Shelby GT.
As of now, EA is still "debating" with downloadable content (At least that's the last I heard a few days ago). If the 2007 Shelby GT500 is indeed a downloadable car, Carbon will be the first NFS game in a while featuring official downloadable content.
In retrospect, it seems likely that there will be a downloadable aspect to the game. Test Drive Unlimited has that, and that game is predicted to be Carbon's biggest competitor this season.

The 2007 Ford Mustang Shelby GT is actually a completely different car to the 2007 Ford Shelby GT500. Amongst the noticeable external differences are the different hood intakes and radiator grills. The Ford Mustang Shelby GT also features what appear to be brake ducts behind the driver and passenger doors, and it also lacks a rear spoiler.prince1142003 wrote:Not to be an a** or anything, but the 2007 Shelby GT500 has been on the expected carlist for a while. True. Because of the angle of the car in the screenshot, it was hard to tell exactly what the car was. It was clear it was one of the newer Shelby Mustangs, but beyond that was almost impossible to discern. I decided to go with the Shelby GT500 because the Shelby Mustang GT was a concept car, and EA hasn't been known to add concept cars in its games.Matthew wrote:The 2007 Ford Mustang Shelby GT is actually a completely different car to the 2007 Ford Shelby GT500.
