Aight, good to know I'm not the only one. Another issue I'm having is I can't access the motion blur option. It won't even highlight and I can't select yes on it.

my game crashes every 2 hours..sometimes 15 mins..now i save every race..its annoying...when u are so into it..and u get brought back into your desktop..

krazyammo : from what i know...the rims comes in chrome as stock..i stil try to find the ''silver'' paint..and it seems everytym i paint my rims..the outside rim stays silver..while da inside changes colour, i have yet to find a option to paint it all in one colour ...anybody?

You can only paint the holes in the rims

its the inside part you can paint.. theres chrome, metallic and.. gloss? cant remember

infinite colour choices as in normal painting, you can use slider and pick the one you like most.. is good

does your gfx. card have Pixel Shader-3

You can ACTIVATE this option thru REGISTRY. (assuming u r using Windows XP).

there were Lot of Registry Tweaks for Most Wanted, i'll post some for Carbon after i get the Game.

well,just beat darious, and man was that gay, he would not stop cheating! but anyway glad i beat career 100%, unlike mw where you would beat the boss of career and it would be like "51% career, 29% game completion" Fun stuff.

Yeah, it's a huge problem for me. I had similar issues with Most Wanted until it was patched.

First time I played it, I dialed up a few of the game play settings. After the second race, the game crashed to the desktop. Figuring it was probably just my PC set up not being powerful enough, I dialed down some of the graphics. Still had crashing issues, though I seem to be able to go longer before a crash happens.

An EA trick to battle against piracy? I suspect this since they introduced EA downloader version which you need to pay. Who knows? Perhaps they purposely make the game buggy and force users to download a patch online which fix everything, while those with non-legit copy will have hard time playing the game?

Start > Run > "regedit" > "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE" > "SOFTWARE" > "Electronic Arts" > "Need For Speed Carbon" Tweak the value accordingly.

just open the Registry as told by "l2k" or if you have TuneUp Utilities 06, it'll be easier.

goto this key- Goto this key = "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\EA GAMES\Need for Speed Carbon",
& then change the value against "g_MotionBlurEnable" from 0 (zero) to "1", to do this just right click "g_MotionBlurEnable" & select "EDIT" & then type "1" in the dialog Box.

Simple isnt it.

You can check the pic below, to see what you have to EDIT (underlined in red) in the Registry. its for MOST WANTED.

Try changing the "SWAP SIZE" to the value i have put. it speed up the Game Loading.

NOTE :: DO NOT CHANGE / MODIFY/ DELETE ANY OTHER VALUE.

Which videos cards supports then the pixel shader 3.0 to enable motion blur??? Why EA didnt use the motion blur effect from MW, easy....well, they maybe consider to us to buy new video cards to get more money....classic...

Damn, I'm just below that. I have an X800 XL. I tried changing the value in the registry but it keeps going back to 0 no matter how many times i put it to 1. Oh well.
