I don't know why the server disconnects me every now and then, just wondering whether this is common amongst players here.

Don't know why, but I get disconnected in a middle of a race with no reason...
It happened several times already...

that's $hitty, I get that too, 1st I was thinking that they have somekind of scanner, and D/C the users with pirated copy(I am between them) .. but I see that you got that too

Yea u are right.....That's happened to me too......I had a big lead in the front using my unlocked LP640, then it disconnected....WTH......

I think that it has something to do with Bonus Cars, I used the M3 and D/C me, probably EA's anticheat protection, isn't quite right configured, and when we use Bonus or Custom cars, they D.C us. Last night I played a few good races with a guy from Portugal, we raced in canyon, somewhere @ 10 races or so, and no D/C, but as soon as we played a sprint, and let the max 8 players, I god D.C .. that really pisses me off, and raising my D.C rate!

i can say that its nothing to do with bonus cars, i have only used my career corvette in online
and still have the same problem as you

Sure?? right now i get a message "could not join game session", before at 4pm gmt-6 the eanation server was down... and say "cannot connect to eanation"

hope the patch solve this issue

yeah i was getting that as well, but it was weird coz it was only occuring to one of my profiles, so i checked an hour later and then it was happening to both. so about 5 hours later (i think) i checked again and it was back to normal so... nfi

im finding it extremely weird when i play the canyon races, coz when im completely pwning the other person (which is always) i just handbrake at the end and park it sideways b4 the finish line. thats not the weird bit tho lol, its the fact that i see the other person come and finish but they would suddenly disappear and reappear again on the minimap back at the start of the canyon while im still sitting there waiting for the load screen to come up. and when that doesnt happen, i drive over the line to make it come up but then it just stays at the load screen. i can press accelerate and brake and turn etc and hear the car moving but i cant see anything apart from the loadscreen which really annoys me. at this point i have to alt-tab out of the game and close it manually via the task manager. i think this has happened about 5 times now.

yeh true, which is why i really only play canyon races now because it seems that cheaters dont really play it for some reason. i think its becuase they cant use nos hack (no nos) and also because they cant use instant accel (crash off cliff) so yeah, canyon races ftw.

funny thing is (or not) im kinda a little too good for most people and they end up calling me a cheat which gets quite annoying sometimes when they are so insistant on pointing the finger at me instead of blameing their own crap driving skills. "maybe ive got better acceleration than you because i ride on the correct line hmmm? u know letting the walls guide you around wont make you win" is my general feeling towards these arrogant people. so what ive actually started doing is to "teach" people how to do canyon races i guess by driving slow enough so that they can follow my lines so that they can realise it is possible to be able to go as fast as i can.

canyon races, are really great online, stick to max tier 2 and it's all great. not all the peeps like it dough .. dunno why.

tier2? aaaaaawwwwww toooo sloooooooooow haha! i like using the tier 3 audi lemans coz its just about the only car with decent steering and sometimes i think it was actually made specifically for the canyon races becasue its so easy to follow the perfect lines on the canyon tracks. forget about tier 1 haha i almost fall asleep driving those cars =P 240sx is good but top speed is really really bad, i reach it in about 3 seconds on my setup haha. ALL ACCELERATION, FULL OVERSTEER & HIGH REVS =D

when i play online i dont get disconnected much, my xbox freezes alot tho because its stuffed so i hav to reset it. i usually either go teir 1 or teir 2. (dont hav any teir 3 cars yet) the pursuit knockouts are pretty good..ive never done a canyon race online because it freezes.

i did the other pursuit rae (not the knockout, the other one..i cant remember wat its called) that was really fun. i won becasue i busted someone that was in a 300c with about 10 secs left, and that gave me enough time in my actual car, not a police car to win.

I found the tier 1 and 2 races more fun as well. I can't bring myself to use the Audi, really don't enjoy using it. It's especially bad going up against those high torque exotics like the Audis, using me as a guardrail in the hairpins during canyon duels. They don't seem to use brakes. Just smash you into the wall, NOS while wall raping, and fly into the distance.

One thing that surprised me online during a Tier 2, no NOS, race was seeing just how fast the firetruck is. I had a RX-7 with pro packages, got left in the dust from the start during the first long straight. Was pretty fun to watch that big monster take off and scrape its way through the hairpins though.

And I did experience one disconnect on EA Nation last night, but most of the time, I was disconnecting because I'm using the PC version of NFS, which seemed to crash every fifteen minutes on me.

me too.. i prefer tier 2 and 1 race.. i hate people using their car to win.. (audi R8 user). not their true skill...

For Canyon Duel.. i prefer..
Tier 3 car - Evo XI
Tier 1 & 2 car - 240Sx

There's nothing wrong with tier3 cars, the problem is the audi le mans. EA should in the next patch remove this car from online play, and any cheater uses it will be disconnected instantly and banned for 1 month. I believe legally EA can do this because the software agreement does not include online play, so these bast*rds cannot complain if they want to be f*ckers.

By the way, tier1, 2 cars are extremely slow, so drving the perfect line with that kind of slow cars doesn't say anything about your driving skills either. I think instead of creating racing sessions, EA should make the game like an open virtual city online like what you have in Battlefield2, up to 64 players can free roam in one instance of the city (I'd imagine you should be able to select which instance of city you want to join), then everyone can go to certain spots in the city where your ride can be shown off to your friends and you can chat with other players to start a game. Obviously, when doing that, if you are still in the same city, there will be other players wandering around that become hazards, so once a race is to happen, all players that join this particular race should be forwarded to a different race session where the race take place, and after that, they should be sent back to where they were in the online free roam city. DAMN, EA should give me money for if they did this.

hey leave the audi out of it =P its not the audi thats screwing your races over, its the nubs who dont know how to drive it =) besides the z06 has more torque than the audi neways. by banning a specific car wont stop cheaters from using some other car to be idiots in races neway so what does that solve? nothing. should concentrate on banning whats causing the cheating instead, but thats never going to happen neways...

So it isn't freakish acceleration that's special to the firetruck eh? Some races, I have no idea if I'm just that bad, they're that good, or they're using cheats. Ran a canyon duel, my Evo IX against an Audi LeMans, no NOS, etc. I get that the Audi has freakish acceleration / top speed compared to the Skyline and Lan Evo, but I couldn't believe the massive margin I got beat by one guy. I don't claim to be the best, but that badly... wow.

I have no issues with EA allowing the Audi Le Mans as a sort of reward for those that finished the game. Some of those exotics are all around supercars against the high tier tuners, which I can live with. I could very well choose the Audi, but personally don't like the car.

But damn, a lot of those using the Audis don't seem to believe in brakes. Kinda fun watching them rape the walls and guardrails. On my screen, you can see them flipping, speeding off on their roof, etc. That massive acceleration and speed, especially on courses like Sprint on the canyon courses is just too funny. Some guys can basically use your car or the guardrail as a brake, and rely on NOS and the Audi's great straight line speed to stay ahead.

Just gets old getting driven into the guardrails because someone in an Audi doesn't believe in brakes.
