I just started playing NFS: Porsche Unleashed again, after year and a half... Had some compatibility issues, sorted them out, and now it's time to enjoy in a real NFS. =) Masterpiece, nothing else...

NFS Porsche hmmm...handling is unrealistic (break and the car will just slide no matter what you do), Graphics great for when it was released, sound Average, Gameplay & Cars GREAT but sadly only Porsches :(
Overall it's another Average to Great game from EA.
Sorry for the little review but i just had to make it.

handling is realistic mate. you are used with underground's controls .. that's why you think PU's controls are unrealistic.

PU was probably the most realistic of the NFS series. you have to remember that when driving cars from the 50's they arent going to handle like a skyline especially with those pizza cutter tires they have. and what is wrong with porsches if anyone bought the game thinking there was more than just porsches they would be a complete idiot

Did anyone have a problem with installing the collectors editon NFS Carbon?

Whenever I try to install it brings up a window that says "Installation cannot continue because this game requires DirectX 0 or higher to be installed on your system. You can download the latest version of DirectX here: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/directx".

Look familiar?

No that's what the screen shows. That's exactly quoted from the error message.

EDIT: I did find something that could help, but I've already tried and failed 6 times with it as well. Changing it to Windows 2000 compatibility on the autorun thing. That's what several sites are saying.

Yes I have DirectX 9.0c but it still won't install. I've been looking for solutions for the past 2 hours now and it still won't work.

Worked perfectly on mine... Maybe you have a bad CD. (or try reinstalling DirectX)

And yes I have Collectors Edition.

I'm thinking I may have a bad CD. I've reinstalled DirectX 3 or 4 times now and still the same thing comes up.

Probably should go back to the store and exchange it for a different one.
