360 or PC?
360 or PC?
What do you think is the best platform for this game?
360 obviously scores points for armchair/big screen play, but is it just me or are drift races a million times easier on PC version?
I give up on drifts at first on 360 and just concentrated on other races, but on PC I have completed every one on the first attempt racking up plenty of combo points.
Both versions crash though so there's one thing in common. Lets hope PS3 will be better.

Whats up with people just because they like to spend money on their computer they think the computer is a heck of a lot more wowzorz than a new console, because right now my computer aint for gaming so right now my ps2 is a better system than it. also, a computer is a lot more glitchy and crahses easily.

Having played both versions I would say the 360 version is better. Graphics are as good as, if not better than on a high en pc, the default controller is way better than the keyboard (unless you have a good gamepad on the pc) and the game will always run smooth on the 360. Also so far I only experienced once freeze during normal gameo n the 360 (I didn't count photo mode crashes), while on the pc I had quite a few CTDs.
If you have a 360 connected to a hd tv, then there's really no doubt what to get.

PC if you have a good amount of money to spend, as it offers modding and easy screen capture, Xbox if you're on a budget.
Anyway, you can get the same, if not better graphics on a PC better than an Xbox, they just cost upwards of $3000.
By the way, why am I the only one who doesn't have the game crash on PC?

I usually try it out on 360 and if it's any good get it on PC for the modding, screen captures etc. Oblivion much better on PC, San Andreas completely revamped (loads of nfs cars), but this time I am not so sure.
The game has to be tweaked and patched if you want to play in widescreen, which baffles me, why is there not an option ingame? is the console version limited to 4:3, I think not.
The game is no way as smooth as 360 version and lip synching sucks. The cars and overall visuals on PC look a bit washed out compared to HD and whilst good the characters are not as realistic looking as on 360 version and check out aftermarket vinyls when redused in size. (What does it say?)
I think really to be fair most of the minus points are down to EA rather than PC, it seems as this game is out for every platform and to appeal to the masses, little thought has been given to the PC version. Could have been a whole lot better.

The game is not as smooth on PC as it is on Xbox because your PC is low-end. If you have a PC equivalent to the Xbox, you won't be complaining. I find it the same.
The PC looks washed out because of your screen, not the game or computer. You can get HD on PC BTW. And downsized aftermarket vynils do suck on PC on a lower end PC at low graphics and resolution. I'm sure PS2 will have the same problem... On a high end PC, no problems.
<qoute>buy wired 360 controller (madcatz is very good and only £20) plug it into your PC</quote>
Can you get a PS2 layout type that doesn't feel cheap?
Anyway, PC for cashed up, high-end gamers, who want to play with the best possible graphics, mod and play online easily, Console for gamers on a budget.
PS3=$1000
Equivalent computer= $4000 (PS3 performance)
High end gamers note: The 8800GTX is here!

@baumaxx1: the PS3 may be cheaper, but that's without an HD tv, right?? And a PC is more expensive, because you can do soooooooo much more on it then a console...
Who found out you can get milk from a cow, and what the hell was he doing at the moment?

Actually consoles can match PC only for short period of time, because unlike the console, you can always upgrade your hardware for PC. Not to mention new DX10 is going to send xbox, wii, ps3 straight to hell. BUT!!
As for the consoles, they are developed specialy for games. So when you for example buy PS3, you can be sure every game in next 4 years that will be designed for PS3 is going to run smoothly and with minimal no. of bugs and crashes. PC you're going to upgrade every 1-1,5 years to maintain the quality of gaming. So you give like 600€ for console and you are sure it will run smoothly for next couple of years.
My answer: If you plan to play games and sometimes surf on the internet buy console. If gaming isn't in the first plan, buy PC.

I think PC is much better generally. And it's much easier with trainers and Hex editing on PC
Not to say PC is better than anything, but consoles are outragously over valued, all the parts inside these plastic boxes sum up not worth more than £100 at most. The only thing they are selling is the concept of integrating loads of meaningless gadgets together into one big gadget, that's it. I wonder why google doesn't enter the competition. It's not rocket science for sure.Picc84 wrote:^^ I agree, when i get my ps3, i'am buying it for that, so it will be better than my pc...
Anyway, if you like a box that only plays games and dvds, that's your choice. I'll stick to the PCs because they are much more than a toy. Glitches? just admit you don't know nothing about computers, nobody will laugh.
