PS3? Why would I want a console when I have a much more powerful and versatile PC? I'm actually getting Adobe Creative Suite 2.3 Premium. Normally over $1000 but Metro sells it to it's students for only $400 so I'm going to get it from there.

What are you going to get?

You should get the new Microsoft ZUNE. That is badarse. Ive been waitign for that for a while and its finally out... kinda.

Jopuma, we may not know the specs of your PC but I don't think you know the specs of the PS3 either. By saying that you have a MUCH more powerful system is just silly, because I bet you don't.

I do know the specs of the PS3 and I pretty much surpass it in every way (RAM, Sound, Video, etc.) except for the CPU which is 3.2 GHz. I have 2.6 GHz but that's going to be updated soon.

Im going to just play Gears of War and Madden 07 if I get them for Christmas...

Im saving up to buy a Sub for my dad's car... =D

All of my specs are higher than the PS3 except for the processor. So yes I have a better PC in all those areas. Let's not say more because it'll stray from topic.

Jop..It dosent work that way..While playing games, ur cpu does alot of other things in the background like -Running a damn operating system, other small programs, Antiviruses..etc,
while a ps3 can use all of its power for games.

Remember the ps2...it had like 4-8 Mb, video memory..and abt 32Mb Ram, and the games still worked on them with high fps...even though we have higher specs...
Try running a ps2 emulator and then u'll see what everyone means

Graphics and sound are processed by the video card and the sound card. That frees up stuff for the CPU. Plus while playing a game pretty much everything pertaining to video is sent to the RAM that way the video card and CPU don't have to process the same information again and again. It just gets pulled out of the RAM, pieced together for the seconds it is there, and gets placed back in RAM again. A powerful CPU means nothing if you have crap memory and video because it would run slow and laggy. You can still have a weaker CPU while you have a good supply of memory and a good video card and it will run just like a PS3 or Xbox 360; better even.

Now for the last time lets stop talking about this and get back to topic.

Jopuma, you're looking at things the wrong way. You're making a GHz comparison between your processor and the PS3's, but the PS3 carries more cores than your PC does and runs at a completely different architecture. GHz doesn't say shiznit. I know FOR SURE than your PC gets stomped by both the PS3 and 360. Now post your specs.

Well, I want some lighter fluid. I'm hoping one of my older friends gets me some b/c I'm not legally allowed to possess a lighter.
