I agree with VG_Speed that stonewall tunnel is only good for testing one aspects of a car's ability, specifically its top speed. Why i think the 240sx is better than any tier2 car is because i mainly race canyon sprints and the occasional city circuit/sprint and on these tracks top speed is not necesarily the winning factor. I especially like to test cars on copper ridge beacuse of its technical race lines that rewards a cars abilty to carry speed in corners, has good cornering agility and also good responsive handling. Top speed may not be the 240sx's strong point but it makes up very well in all other areas which is why it's my car of prefernece in tier1 and tier2 races.GT3x24x7 wrote:From my tests, the 240 is faster than the bottom four Tier 2 cars (Monaro, Golf, Clio, Eclipse) and well ahead of all Tier 1 cars on most tracks. Simply put, if you haven't got a 240SX, you're gonna lose a Tier 1 race against anyone who can drive...
EDIT: Heh, just decided to take a look at one of xXxXXXxEvoxXXXXXasxdasd's speedtrap shadows - I knew something was amiss when he's posted a 1900+ speed at Stonewall. It's not exactly cheating, I'd say, but the guy gets high times by backing WAY up before each speedtrap and taking multiple runs at it until he manages to luck his way through the turns and get a good pass. Noob.
So the question now is, do we allow these runs? Strictly speaking, the game allows you to do it I guess. What do you lot think?
EDIT2: Just beat his speed at Stonewall by 50 kmh using his own methods. Won't be upping the shadow.
As for xXxXXXxEvoxXXXXXasxdasd's speedtrap shadows i guess its not "cheating" and all the guy is doing is basically hoisting a flag with "I am a big time n00b" written accross it by posting such speedtrap shadows. I did wonder how that "speed penalty" thingo would be implemented in the speedtrap races but i guess it just doesnt occur when there are 0 opponents.
