r u serious? people down vote because they want to win and dont have a car that can win fairly so they think they'll better their chances by giving a 4 here and there

yeah but giving a 4 here and there isnt downvoting all cars. we cant outlaw poepl giving bad votes, when it comes down to it they really might not like the cars they gives 4's, all im saying is that i havnt really noticed any downvoting in this comp.

Time to name names.

User noggie decided it would be a great idea to vote forty-nine 1's, one 2 and one 10 in the comp. What? You think we don't look at the votes??

Noggie is now out of the comp and the votes are removed. Forget about it.

I'm glad you found the jerk, GT3.
I don't see this as about winning as there is really no prize to be won. I see it as who has the most liked car based on the challenges requirments. Maybe the only real prize for the top three is knowing that they did a great job designing their car.

There is actualy one I really want too see in the top spot (it isn't mine). Its colors, use of vinyl's and parts is something that I would have never thought of on that car. The user did an extreamly great job on it.

Corrispondence from this challange............

And that sucks. If I can't vote on my car then ALL entrants should not be able to vote on ALL other entrants cars as well as there own.

Rules as of this date for voting are;
"Voting

Voting is open to all. Anybody can vote on your car, in guest, user or both. Own voting is not allowed. Note that it's best if you vote for all other entrant's cars. Any missing entrant votes are automatically counted as a 10."

And thats it.

Banned from the site!!!!! For what, sounds like you like that "power".

Play fair or don't play at all!!!!!!!

The world does not live by those rules.

That is not cheating, that is simply not following the rules. What if everybody vote 1 on every car except their own? Where is the point in that. The challenges are not about giving everybody a 1, but about selecting the best car by voting all others in the challenge, and voting them fairly. If you can't follow these main rules and guidelines, why enter the challenge in the first place?

And no, the President (in this case myself) is not allowed to vote his own cars. Rules apply to everybody, without exceptions.

Play fair or don't play at all. I completely agree with that, and it's not us who aren't playing fair. Do you think it's fair to vote everybody's work a 1?

This whole thing is very simple. We set the rules, if you can't follow them, then you're out of the game.

Rules are there for a reason, of course they can't please everyone, but we're always trying to please the majority.

Where is it written that downvoting is not allowed?

:x Delete my account, the car pics I've posted and all other Noggie entries. :x

I still say the game NFS:U rules as a game but the online cheaters and power hungry twinks ruin it for us all.

Expecting this post to be deleted and never seen again in NFS:Unlimited.

You don't have an option to remove yourself from your site or delete your own picture uploads etc. What a great way to set up a site.

Noggie, this isn't a membership you pay for (hence you can demand from this site only that much). If you don't like the rules - tough, but expect nothing less than an action against you if you break them. Bobyx and the staff do a lot to make this place fun and welcoming to many people and rules are necessary to manage the site easily. Those rather strict rules came around for a reason, which was basically people like you coming in and disrespecting other users by downvoting their cars.

Ah man this is weird. There were several entries that were sent well before the comp opened for voting that didn't reach me for days. SunnyGTIR, I have your entry now - it arrived like 12 hours after the comp opened. I can see that you sent it on Saturday...

In light of this, I have late-entered your car. Good luck in the comp!

In future, we'll be changing the method of submission so that you guys can use a web form to upload your entry, nuch like the showroom works now. That should fix the problem. :)

what Noggie did is just the weakest thing you can do over here
there is only one thing in wich is worse.... and that is defending something that is morally wrong (in this case downvoting everything exept your own...)
Even if you really don't like every car in the challenge... they are not wortg a 1 or a 2...
That simpy hurts people to see their work trashed this way

And if can't live with the rules...you should not be here...
we are here to have some fun and not this....

sad

well said stig  , the worst thing is that the guy honestly believes that what he was doing was fine, i really dont understand how he could spend 30-45 mins voting every car a 1 (i bet he made a mistake when he voted 2) and not thinks what your doing is wrong

ahh well... on with the comp!! :D
