Actually the quad sli does have some stability issues.
And abrams is completely right..why would u get a quad sli pc, when u can get a 8800 GTX for 200$ less! ( 2x7950 = 2x400$ = 800, and a 8800 GTX is somewhere around 600$ )

@Abrams - this CPU works, but as Athlon XP 1900+ (??? it's very strange, maybe 1900+ has the same multiplier as 3200+, but FSB 266 MHz or sth...). And even if my Sempron isn't too fast, it's still faster than Athlon XP 1900+...

the 7950's were purchased before the 8800 came out, there arnt any stability issues that i have run into if u are havening them it is because your power supply sucks, the P4D 3.2 isnt that slow and i plan on getting my presler as soon as i get paid (end of this week), it is going to be the 3.6Ghz (im running a P4 Dual Core 775 @ 3.2ghz right now) compared to the presler the core2 is a rip off (why the hell would i want to pay $300 for a 2.4 core2?) if you look beyond the hype you will see th) at aside from the slower FSB it puts out the same spec and has the same features (i can get the presler for only $200 and i like the idea that i wouldn't be downgrading clock wise. (i realize the fsb give you a boost, but a boost that is worth $114??) (could be also archived by over clocking) this system can run any game you throw at it (the way it is currently configured, and can kill any alienware or voodoo pc. and is currently running at 55 Degrees F (when not ingame) (cant beat that temperature) (my room temp is 70 Degrees F (system isn't over clocked)

just as an FYi when both cards were purchased new the going price was $600 a card, so my total on gfx $1200 not $800

maybe after the holidays i will treat my self to 2 8800's in sli (hopefully my friend will still want to buy these cards (he has had his eye on my 7950's since i got them and is too poor to buy an 8800 lol)

^You have no idea what you're talking about.

1. When we talk about instability with QuadSLi, we're talking about drivers.
2. Core2 shiznit on your Presler
3. You'd be feeling bad if you upgrade to Core2, because you're a clockspeed whore.
4. You'd be killing many Alienwares when it comes to amount of GPUs in your system. Other than that, it sucks.

AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800.

@ 2950MHz. I'd say that's enough to kill your Presler. \:D/

Core2D is one ofbest overclock-friendly systems. People hit up to 3.5Ghz on them.

p.s. t3ice you got those HDDs in any kind of RAID config? o.0

Ohhhh Yeah lol. How much did you pay for that, I need to get outta this Celeron D 64 but the 64-bit makes it a little better than the regular 32-bit right or is the Celeron D still crap?

@ Abrams : lol, i know it lags the Pc like hell, so usually i keep it disconnected & connect it only when i need to trasfer some stuff between hard drives.

@Djiel : Awesome man!!, I heard that the E6300 is extremely overclock able ,so u could overclock the stock 1.83 Ghz core to atleast 2.0 or 2.2Ghz..or even more :P

@ S2000 : The celeron is crap, whether its 32 or 64bit, I think its prolly as crap as the Pentium 4 HT, or worse :D

E6300 got less multiplier wich is 7.0x, while E6600 wich is 2 steps above(E6400 in middle) got a multiplier of 9.0x wich is certainly faster and better for overclocking, tho the price bites.

Celeron D isn't crap. Crap is Celeron without "D" (2,8 GHz is as fast as... Duron 1,8 GHz).

Im not goin to overclock anytime soon as my gfx is CPU bottleneck. Once i get DX10 card and Zalman air cooling kit then we will see.

I LOVE MY SYSTEM!!! So much of an upgrade from a 9600XT and a 1.6GHz AthlonXP. 30FPS minimum in Carbon at max settings 1024x768. 20FPS minimum at max settings 1280x1024. This is an awsome setup. (Although the GFX fan is quite loud.)

Sorry, but the Celeron D is still crap, even if it's not as crappy as the old Celerons ...

20 fps on max settings? I get about 40 with X1650XT on same resolution tho i prefer the lower one since i run windows on 1024x768 so dont wanna reset my monitor width and height all the time.

p.s. Duron is same as Celeron tho for AMD. It has very small L2 cache size and barely good for gaming as its processing speed is very low.
