Hehe, I like the picture of Brisbane you have used for the banner at the moment.

btw, concept sketches are still being made... the ones so far feature some modern looking buildings alongside some smaller old apartments (simular to the ones from your photo album). Unfortunately they are taking more time then expected. :o

Let me get this straight up:

AS LONG AS SOMEONE MAKES A FREE MOD THAT IS FREELY DISTRIBUTED OVER INTERNET, THAT DOESN'T REQUIRE BUYING, THAT SOMEONE CAN USE ANYTHING FROM EVERY GAME, CAN CONVERT ANY MODEL FROM A GAME, CAN USE ANY CAR TO MODEL FROM A TO Z, WITHOUT PAYING MONEY TO THAT COMPANY SO YOU CAN PUT THAT CAR INGAME ( this is also available for buildings, trucks, guns etc. )

Think about the MODS people make for the game (the ones that have car models in it without permission from the respective owner ). Are they thrown into court, jail ? No. Now stop complaining and go convert any shiznit from the game, as long as this mod will be free.

TheStig wrote:Like Prince said, use models from people who made models for NFS games. not the EA modesl wich are very low detail cause they are pretty old like 8 years for nfs 3 + 4.
And ask permission from the people who build them. and work from there on. it could save alot of time.
Like I said I don't know if it can be done. It was just a suggestion.
Hmmm..i dunno about low detail, but did u know that the models form nfsHP2, are about 10,000 polys :P
oh..btw i did remodel a car from nfsHP2..and i use 3dsmax v7, and convert these to 3ds format... ;)

@ korge : what do u mean the bumpers to straight.. LoL :P , btw ive got on question about
the car u modeled..How do u intend to create the lights and stuff.

Oh..also ViperGTS is an awesome guy..he used to be my role model back then :P

This is the map so far. Roads are too tight and I really think of deleting it all and start again.

And yes I will start a new one. Oh and this map multiplied by two is the max source engine can hold.

Also this map was compiled under fullbright. If I would have compiled it with lights, would have taken like 20 to 30 mb.

I could be interested in this project, if I see this moving well.

Here are some models I could donate to the mod:

Looks very nice. Your help would be very aprecciated whenever you do have interest in joining. We currently need a highpoly modeler for a ingame car that can be used for testing.

I replyed to that thread.

Blah2, can you edit your post to not display the projected carlist? It is a serious turnoff to people wanting to join.

One more question!

Does the mod have any experienced coder in C++/C# or any other language that may be useful to the source engine?

Go for 8000k max t3ice but don't use lots of polys where you don't need them
