Hey thanx guys...its really easy once u get the hang of it..no biga deal

@Haz : I havent used any tutorial for this car mate....

Although I havent yet perfected the use of vray...Anyways if u need a tut for
3dsmax that i used to make those earlier cars...u can visit www.cg-cars.com
Although u will need to register there...also , after registering u can look
at other ppls WIPs.. and get an idea on how those guys do it...u can also
post ur own model and ask for any problems u are facing :)

@ Krazy...Yeah sure...I'll only charge ya 75$ for the model ..and 20$ extra
along with the materials..LOL

Nah I was jk....sure u can have it ;)

EDIT : I would have posted WIP earlier..but I couldnt access this site...

Hmm..can u give some links..cuz I could really do with a tut for the Gallardo's rims the'are real killer

Hey u should try 3dsmax too...its a little trickey at first ..but ull get the hang of it soon enough..also there are lot of good render plugins available for it... :)

Anyways..its a littlle stupid to ask this question here ( cuz i doubt many have a clue what im talking about ) but...does anyone know how to make a transparent NON refracting material using vray :|

i must say, these 3d stuff you guys are making are amazing =))))
I've been 'playing' around with Rhino 3D quite a while and well i never really got into it since last week. I found it hard to create a car in the first place but i'm getting there =)
I haven't really made any perfect cars yet, mainly ehm... models that look quite alright to my view but i want to do better.

Lets see if i got some screenshots of what i have made recently...
ok found them but they are a bit big, so i hope i wont get in trouble with this

God I wish I was that good at my first try with modeling cars, I'm on my 30th try and I still haven't accomplished anything worth posting. Good job.

I have used Rhino for it... and it took me a while to understand and figure out how i can do it best... It takes time but i bet you'll find a way for yourself that you can work with :)

I have seen many tutorials on the web and most of them were just plain odd... Then i followed a simpler one and it helped me with the basics, the rest is plainly doing what i know of. Also dragging points and adding and cutting and slicing and copying and mirroring and lofting and etc.etc.etc. are basic stuff so it's in the end, easy... it just takes time and vision =)

I've been working on a weapon today for the mod i'm working on... it's called an EP8 Rifle (made up name). It's basically supposed to be a beefed up tranquiliser gun that is designed to fire darts filled with a drug known as EP8 that induces fear and paranoia in the victim making them attack anything that moves.

Use this weapon against an enemy and that enemy will begin shooting his/her own team mate.

All is left to do is the texturing and animating, before exporting it into HL2. Once that is done I'll try to show you guys a little video clip if i can :D

I get what Korge is saying, the scope looks unnecessarily low-poly in comparison to the rest of the model. Like when comparing it to the barrel or the little (what I'm assuming to be) the little canister of condensed gas of some sort. Each of which has 12 sides, while the scope only has 8. Those 4 extra sides make that much of a difference.

I seem to recall people mentioning downloadable plug-ins and what not to get desired effects.
