Ummm... that's not usually the fact at all, it's just that most don't want to be subjected to idiotic and usually sexual harassment from people, so they usually keep it to themselves. Think of it though, how many people who post on here are between 9-17 ?

True enough. Statistics prove that people who identify themselves as female on the Internet often are subjected to a much higher level of harassment and abuse than those who identify as male.
It's also true that racing games are heavily male dominated. Put the two together and you have the NFSUnlimited demographic. 99% male.
Exactly. Sims-style games are heavily populated by female players. That's the kind of 'game' most female gamers like to play. No surprises that the fansites are filled with girls.
