I just want bass, I don't care how many speakers there are. :)

But on second thought, does the creative have loud bass?

Yeah, creative's subwoofers carry a lot of bass, just pop it in a corner (Preferably because it'll reflect off the walls giving better sounding bass) and listen

Ok, I was thinking about OCing by CeleronD64 and I wanna do it in a really safe way so what steps should I take?

My suggestion for overclocking would be to only do so if you can afford to lose the processor. Either have money for a new one or have a back-up.

Very good advice. Remember once you OC your part, any warranty that came with it is now void. Some companies such as EVGA, allow you to overclock as long as it's a software OC and no hardmods are done to thier boards, but with cpu's it's pretty cut and dry. They are only guaranteed to run at the rated speed they come set at.

If you want to learn more about oc'ing, I'd suggest you goto diy-street.com or xtremesystems.org

I highly doubt it's the PSU. You might get instability due to a cheap or underpowered psu, but all your voltage adjustments should be done though bios. The only thing you can do to a psu is adjust the rails. And most don't come with any adjustments.

Oh ok and since I don't have that backup (it's going to my RAM) then i'll leave it alone

It stopped overclocking after I changed the PSU, I went from a stable 2.4GHz to 2.0GHz.

Do you guys know how hard it is to actually fry a processor these days ? It's damn near impossible unless you're absolutely retarded ...

Making adjustments to your vCore isn't voltmodding in anyway. You only speak of voltmodding when you're actually modding your hardware to reach higher voltages, such as soldering 2 pins on a board (hardmod) or modifying the BIOS to increase max vCore (softmod). Also, the PSU doesn't play a part in overvolting in any way, it's all controlled by the BIOS.

If your CPU got instable after changing your PSU, you probably got a shiznit one that can't handle loads.

Correctomundo, unless you're running extremely high voltages (Which also depends on what your mobo supports) that'll make your CPU deterioate rapidly.

OCing isnt dangerous and you dont need to have a box of new CPUs for backups if you know what your doing and do it carefully.

btw, apart from speeding your processor to reach ebtter performance you can try to OC your ram if you really want something that can be replaced without much hassle. But thats more complicated thing to do.

True, and why stop there. CPU, RAM, GPU. Hell even your cd/dvd drives can be overclocked.
