the way you say things implies something totally different than what you mean. to me, it looks like you were telling him he sux at trying to be funny, and i dont think anybody but you knows what you actually meant.

Then let me tell you here and now that I don't often imply things, since, more often than not, people complete miss it. Everything I say should be taken quite literally.

Just as a finishing comment on "The End Of The World" topic from my perspective, I believe that by the time there's a good chance the world will end, we won't just be on Earth, and it wouldn't matter much if the world ended because we always have the moon, mars, and space :D

I never said it was. It was just in the Bible that when Jesus came back, he said he would return for his people in 2000 years

2007 years later, we're still here. Alot of people lost faith in him then but I think it was all a test.
Um you should learn your facts before you say stuff. Jesus never said exactly when he'd come back. He just said he would.

We aren't going to take this into a big discussion.

Either we won't be on earth when the world ends or we'll be dead long before it does end. There's millions of possibilities.

I suggest you all see the movie "What the Bleep!? Down the Rabbit Hole.", incredibly good movie and gives you a great perspective of the way things really are. It's a lot of quantum mechanics stuff, a little difficult to chew but when you get it a lot of things make sense.

I remembered a site I once visited completely devoted to the end of the world, and not only as we know it. Going over hundreds, if not thousands of possibilities in a cynical and somewhat humorous tone. Though I can't remember the URL. :(

Somewhere it was said that Jesus stated he would come back in 2000 years for his people and take them to the kingdom of God. I cant tell you where in the bible it is because I would have to read the entire thing.

I think I stumbled upon that site a while back HaZ. Google it maybe?

Thats pretty much the dumbest thing I have heard. Nobody comes back after they die, their body decomposes and thats it, nothing else happens. I don't know how some people actually can believe that kind of crap. Sorry if I offended anyone but come one, get real.

I wasn't trying to pick a fight, at least I apologized to the people that believe in that stuff. I'm not saying anyone is stupid or anything for thinking that stuff like that happened. People have their own views on religion and I have mine.

when you have your own opinion like that, let people know that so you don't sound so mean and you are trying to attack someone's opinion.

Yeah, I see why someone would think I was trying to be mean and disrespectful about their views. I really wasn't trying to.

You should know that he was born in 4 B.C. and died at the age of 33. So that would mean if he was coming back in 2000 years (which he never said he would come back in 2000 years) he would come back in roughly the year 2028 A.D.

I don't know how often you read the Bible or if you're religious at all, but it would be best not to argue with me because I know quite a lot about the Bible and Jesus never said when exactly he would come back.

I do recognize things coming about this year that relate to things in the Book of Revelation, but most of you don't believe in the Bible so I won't say anything.

EDIT: I just love this picture.

Jop - i respect your right to have your opinion, along with everyone else on this site, but i would suggest in the nicest way possible that its not the best to claim that its best not to argue with you over the bible because you know quite a lot.

No offence but you dont know what anyone else knows about that bible, or for that matter what they believe. Reading the bible (or any text for that matter) is not understanding it fully and i dont think this forum is the best place for this sort of discussion.

No offence meant to you jop, just my opinion.

Interestingly enough, I have seen that movie, about a year or so ago, it was slightly confusing but I got the basic message of it... though I've forgotten it by now.

I was reading the news today and I was shocked to find that Bush is pretty much becoming a dictator.

It was a paper for the 15th, but still shocking to find that Bush completely decimated the check and balance system of Congress, the Supreme Court, and the White House. He felt that Congress was becoming a threat to his Presidency and severed the connection between the White House and Congress. Here are some quotes from Bush and Cheney.

"These people acted as though they had control over domestic issues, and were threatening to affect international policy, as well. It was clearly time to put a check on this antiquated, ineffective system of checks and balances." - Cheney

"The people who support these leaders are just as culpable as the leaders themselves. My administration will not engage in discussions with any federal or state office that continues to recognize this irrelevant governing body." - Bush

That really pisses me off. :x
