well... before it was a public beta.. which was released for free by Atari. it had a limited license
now he downloaded a normally licensed game, which is not free

EDIT:
btw, im rather dissapointed how they pretty much fixed nothing compared to the beta
not even the gfx issues.... looking like a EA game this way

I recently bought the 360 version and it works pretty good, decent framerate haven't found any GFX issues, only think that happend to me twice is that the game/console froze when I wanted to to several things at once (in the menu while it was loadings stuff)

I also downloaded the extra cars (wich aren't free as was told a while ago only the first pack was free and the seperate download wich contained the Lexus IS350)

But I am wondering if anyone knows if when they will release the next download, cause I'm still missing some cars for instance the Diablo, it was on screenshots so I expect it... and want it.
I'm also missing some 90's and 80's Ferarris.. as far as I know they where never planned but I do miss them. like the 355

They probaly will release those cars in the next few packs, I have to get the 360 version cause of my "lacking" system...

OFF-TOPIC: I was in a game store trading in some games and they were talking and they said MS might think of making XLive free, anyone know anything of this rumor?

So, I sort of fixed the stuttering issues but now I have another problem. Sometimes, I load the game, it get's to the menu and when I click "Continue Game", the computer just restarts. Ugh, I have the feeling that the Beta ran better...

Thanks for the links but I already found them today when I updated the system. still no Diablo, but he maybe next package.

Good thing is that some of the cars in the DL package where not mentioned in the original plans, same goes for some cars that where in the game at release.

Oh Okay, Yeah it is a good thing cars didn't get mentioned in the original plans, i mostly use the downloaded cars for races and stuff like the Ruf R Turbo and then use the cars what are on the game like the Nissan 350Z 8)

Looking at all internet sites, the Playstation version of the game was supposed to be released in Australia yesterday, but each store I phoned-up said they will not have it till the 21st. It would have been the perfect weekend; Melbourne F1 GP + TDU :D ...Except it didn't exactly happen.

Sooooo, the PC version does not get any downloads? No Ferrari F40? No Ferrari 612 Scaglietti? :(

I have found one major problem with the game. I have Anti-aliasing off but somehow, the game does not remember this and actually turns it on (I don't know at what level). Even though in the options menu it says it's off, I can see it in-game that it's on. This is troublesome because the game starts to lag in some areas.

I tried fixing this by first setting it to 2x, then going back to Off. It works most of the time but sometimes the computer restarts for no apparent reason (video card issue?).

Intel Pentium 4 (CPU 3.00 GHz HT)
1024 MB (1 GB) RAM
BFG 6600GT AGP 8x at 128 mb

I doubt the system specs have anything to do with the crashing. I mean, most of the time the game runs flawlessly...

You think I'm a noob at computers? This has nothing to do with sound or video drivers. Honestly, these tips to reinstall the program or update drivers never work...

I never said you were a noob.
But i am thinking that there is something with the Video Card. Did you go in the nVIDIA control panel and set every setting on Performance?

My guess would be because of your video card, the game recommends a video card with 256 mb of memory, so you might have some problems with a 128 mb video card..just my 2 cents.

Yeah, I thought of that but that doesn't make any sense. I mean, most of the time I am getting on average about 32 FPS in the game. It would be stupid of Atari just increased the minimum vRAM just because they were too lazy to fix a slight problem on 128 MB video cards.

Check that you haven't set the gfx card to have AA on and not let the app decide.

My two cents.

Only things in TDU I think becomes rather anoying is the comments made by the Models and Hichikers, And what's up with those guys? they want to get a lift, and they want you to be 10 miles up and you got like 7 minutes to do that?

And if you hit something they tell you: maybe it's best you slow down abit... yeah right and by driving within the limits you're able to do 10 miles in 7 minutes.

In some missions you had to race a average speed of 180 Kmh (110 mph) to win it. wich is bloody fast.

Btw I wish they get some nice cars in th next pack, cause I am still missing some cars like that where shown in shots or said to be in the game:

Lamborghini Diablo (SV, VT, GT)
Lamborghini Murciélago Barchetta
Lamborghini Gallardo (normal version not the SE version)
Ferrari 360
Pagani Zonde C12S Roadster (is even shown in the Pagani showroom but you can't even reach it, according to the manual you can get it for free if you get a Brittish Cable connection..... yeah nice...)

And cars I really would like to see in the game:
Ford Mustang GT500 2007
Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano
Ferrari 355 Spider F1
Mercedes SL600 (1998)
Aston Martin DB7 GT

OK yeah some cars are able to reach super high speeds, My McLaren F1 that I have is fullly tuned and I managed to reach 415 kmh (259mph) But to do a average of 180 kmh on a winding road with traffic is something completely diffirent specially when you have 1 minute to do 3 Km. wich includes accelerating at the start and stopping at the place you need to drop them off.

I did manage to do all missions successfully and alot of them perfectly (without going of the road or hitting traffic)

Yeah, those comments are bound to get repetitive after a while, but at least there's some variations. I always try to aim for "Perfect" tho, so the less they say, the better :P

I like having to drive fast to get to the finish in time tho, and the Courier missions are pretty challenging in the Audi A3, considering I have to drive close to the car's top speed constantly to reach the finish. It has worked well so far tho :)

OK, I'm loving TDU as a game, but there are a couple of niggles:

1. Very few bugs have been fixed since the beta - I uninstalled the game (due to wanting to change the CD key when my full legal version arrived in the mail) and again it wiped my C:\ drive!! Thank the Lord that I backed up my PC first this time, so it was a simple restore job.

2. Where the hell have all the car delivery missions gone? I'm up to 4 rosettes (Expert level, I think) and I've only had 10 car delivery missions to date. I've not even had the one I played in the beta when I had to deliver a Lotus Esprit, which was one of the first I did in the beta, but one of the first to appear was the Koenigsegg delivery (surely one of the best cars in the game). Are they random? Or do you have to do a certain number of hitchhiker missions first?

3. How do you add someone to friends? A guy wanted to be added to my friends list, I pressed the assigned button "U" and just about every other I could find to say OK (OK had the green highlight beside it), and nothing happened. The guy got p***ed at me and called me a word that starts with a "b" and rhymes with itch. If this happens I appologise, I'm NOT ignoring you I just can't seem to add anyone!!!

By the way, my online persona is DeltaRomeo21. Normally I'm cruising in a blue Lamborghini Muira, red Jaguar E Type, blue Caterham 260 CSR or one of my two blue Ferraris (575 Maranello or 460 Coupe). Gives us a toot if you see us! (I'm having major lag issues though, so I tend not to get involved in on-line races).
