I wouldn't expect big things from that computer graphics wise. If you can afford to, I'd suggest at least the 4200+ for the processor. But overall, I'd say it's an average computer. You could run most games at medium settings, maybe some on high at a low resolution. Depending on what your doing with your computer, I would also recommend a gig of RAM instead of 512MB.

She said she has already 512mb of RAM so she will just upgrade and if my maths are correct 2x512=1024.

Oh I misunderstood, I thought she meant she was going to upgrade to better quality RAM and toss out what she already had.

Awesome computer  . I wish I had that much money to drop into a computer. But if I were to do that, I would have to find a way to drive my computer to and from work cause all the money I'm saving right now is going towards a car. That thing isn't gonna have a tough time with anything for a long time.

why would you spen all that money on power you don't need?

My Sempron 64
1GB DDR 333
160Gb HDD
BGF 76000GT

can run all my games on high graphics for a small fraction of that.

But at least you have bragging rights.

Your definition of high graphics isn't my definition of high graphics nor is it his ...

When you can run any game @ 1920 x 1080 w/ everything maxed, 16x AA, 16x AF, and HDR enabled with that setup, call me and I'll gladly retract my statement ...

@paras, I saw the discussion you had with some people in the GTA thread and decided to ask here instead of continuing there. I don't doubt that you have that computer, but would you mind posting some 3D Mark 06 scores? I just want to see how well that thing performs.

Budget price is an obvious choice - AMD Athlon64 X2 3600+ ... Dual core for less than $100, overclocks well ...

IN order to do that I would have to get a new motherboard and upgrade to DDR2 ram. So about $300 in total.
