This news is a bit old, but I did find what you were talking about here: http://www.gamesindustry.biz/content_page.php?aid=20729
However, as the Wii discs are written on DVD, it already has the hardware capabilities for playing DVDs, and it could be that a firmware could be released or "cracked" which will be able to perform the DVD playing.

I pick PS3. I've heard alot of good things about the PS3. It might just overexaggeration, but I still this system might be the best in my opinion. Plus I'm part of the Playstation.com community,so I hear nothing, but the PS3 all day.

I do use the HDMI, but its a bit short... I use the VGA port occasionally for playing some games on the big screen from my PC.
I use the Digital Out for audio, straight to my 5:1 stereo surround sound system =]
EDIT:
New Dashboard update soon to come, maybe tomorrow, maybe the next, who knows what M$ is doing

Only one i suppose, thats because X360 wont be able to keep up with the PS3 by then.Cpt.Razkit wrote:by then there will 2 more versions of the xbox 360PSZeTa wrote:It's the least popular as it's the most expensive. Now lets just wait how the PS3 turns out later as it's just around.

The PS3 has already crashed and burned, I'm not saying it's a bad console, it's just a poor choice by Sony. To release a $1000AUD console with what, like 2 exclusives. If they had of released it with more exclusives, and didnt put in a blu-ray player, they might have just been able to keep up with the Wii(Saying Wii because they were released about the same time).
At this moment, the 360 is the optimum choice for a console, as it already has great online, more exclusives than you can poke a stick at, and it doesnt cost a small fortune.
