iPhone, it sounds like a overhyped and overpriced POS that will surely attract a large part of the brainless iPod-user market. They know they can make this thing expensive, just because it's an Apple. I'm looking forward to how it performs, I heard it lacks a lot on some parts. So currently, I'm just looking at the Chinese iPhone ''clone'' by Meizu.

The LG Prada cannot be found at a carrier store because the phone doesn't have a carrier. I don't buy lame plans from companies...I go to real stores sellin' the awesome phones being brought from other parts of the world who actually value the quality of the cellphone.
Honestly, what the Canadian carriers offer is just pure poor quality, cheap, lame phones....I guess there just isn't a market for classy phones in North America.
You can buy the phones off the net or visit specialty shops. A good place is Pacific Mall in Markham. Sure the place is Asian and I don't fit in 'cause I'm Euro but there are at least 10 cellphone stores in there who have the latest models for you to drool over and touch.

Well I agree with you, Canadian carriers have such poor phones, and that's why I'm trying to find a phone that can double up as an mp3 player that doesn't take much room in my pockets (Possibly less than 18 mm thick). That's where eBay comes in.
There's so many phones out there to choose from, but the real thin ones are extremely pricey at around $350 (with shipping) for something like the amazing Samsung U600 (10.9 mm slider) which I'm still doubtful about due to the price:

There's also the Samsung D900, which is slightly cheaper at around $310 with shipping but is 12 mm. I don't mind the size, so it is probably a safer bet for me:

Then there is the Motorola RAZR maxx V6 which offers a lot of extra features the normal RAZR doesn't but at a price of around $320. It also looks a lot better than the original RAZR, but it doesn't have enough extra features to justify it's extreme price in my opinion:

Lastly, there is the PDA phone, the Motorola ROKR E6. Other than the fact that I dislike the way calls are dialed, it is a decent phone but I don't think it fits my needs:

Anyone have cheaper alternatives that are just as reliable? I don't really care much about the camera, as long as it's better than 1 megapixel and internal memory isn't an issue though the kind of phone I want needs to have a slot for SD cards. And as said before, preferably under 18 mm thick.
P.S. - I've just searched up a few Motorola phones and found that the Motorola RIZR Z3 is an affordable alternative at approximately $240 with shipping.
