I really like that name. Sounds great for a phone. Reminds me of something I own...................xHaZxMaTx wrote:My SLVR
Anyway, I've got a Nokia N70. Great phone but it's only on the 3 network. I hate that! Prefer Vodafone or something.

That's true but only to a point. I mean, what's the point of makin' a phone paper thin? For sure it would be very fragile and it would honestly be pointless. The phone needs some depth so you wouldn't have trouble holding it and be uncomfortable when talkin.Porsche-AG wrote:@ 2furio: Well that's quite drastic to compare the phones to models... smaller is better and usually shows the technological advantages the phone has over thicker ones through fitting everything into a smaller space.

Agreed! Amen to that..TheStig wrote:I choose a thicker phone over a ultra thin Samsung every day.
You bet. My friend's Samsung D900's slide broke.TheStig wrote:Simple a phone that thin is way to fragile and things are surely going to break on something that thin, it simply can't be strong.
100% agreed. I've held my friend's 6230i, and darn it was good. Features wise, it is pretty reasonable, and not forgetting a huge internal phone memory compared to some of other normal phones today.TheStig wrote:the most comfortable phone I had was a Nokia 6310i wich was pretty big but It had a good feel and it was also bombproof.
Really? But now I think Nokia is now becoming more of a brand name. The E65 is pretty unreaonable for such a price for such lousy phone features. No radio, lousy 2MP camera, mono tone... I mean, c'mon!TheStig wrote:Nokia does sometimes have problems with new phones but as soon as phones come back with the same flaw they fix the problem and the next series are free from the bug.
It has nothing to do with Stereotyping, Ofcourse the do make some decent phones but in general they are pretty much rubbish.Porsche-AG wrote:C00L is g00d.
You're using a stereotype of one company to describe all the phones they make. I've searched Google for any problems and reviews that the E830 may have and found nothing bad about it.

Yup, you bet. We're only paying for the looks and brand. I can get the Smasung U600 for the same price with much better specs. And it looks better too.2furio wrote:Andre_online, the Nokia E65 does look nice but it costs $500 CDN without tax and shipping and it doesn't even have amazing specs...the specs are decent but the phone is definitely not worth $500...

Mate I got a phone that suits my style and looks and everything I wanted from it.Porsche-AG wrote:-Thin phones can be very reliable if you find the right one.
-Thin/slide phones usually have all the functions of flip/bar/spin/twist/fat/etc phones but in a smaller space. And if all you need is a phone that can do Bluetooth then a slide phone would still be a great choice.
-Looks? Slide phones are all about the looks, and they are definitely clean, decent, and businesslike. Personally, I don't think bar phones look very businesslike and if that's your only option since you don't want flip or slide, then I don't think you can find a phone to suit your 'looks' need.
A slide phone may look fancy, but it's basically just a bar phone cut in half with the bottom half being pasted to the backside of the top half. It's for people who want a phone that isn't too long.
