Means that all of us are a year or 2 older than what we were when he last came here. Couldn't get any simpler..

Might want to refrain from using downloaded brushes for public, profitable use, lest you be susceptible to lawsuits.

@ Carcrazy: It's a quality/aesthetic thing. And there's someone who has $20 million shoes that have pearls covering the entire thing, so $100 is pocket change for shoes. Also, some types of shoes tend to cost more due to their use (Basketball shoes have to be high and have good ankle support, usually with shocks or air).

That comparison makes 0 sense.Porsche-AG wrote:@ Carcrazy: It's a quality/aesthetic thing. And there's someone who has $20 million shoes that have pearls covering the entire thing, so $100 is pocket change for shoes.

Re: Just want to talk? Come here.
Well as long as the creator of the brushes is contacted and grants you permission to use them, then it's ok. I have been asked to make some graphics for small private companies in my city, and as long as I get permission from the brush creators(if I used any) I use them. Out of 4 projects that I used public brushes, one wanted a share of the money, and the others let me use them without wanting anything in return. Most of the stuff I made was used as a graphic on a car that was driven around my city. As long as those cars are still driving around, I continue to get money, not much, but it only pays for gas every other week.xHaZxMaTx wrote:Might want to refrain from using downloaded brushes for public, profitable use, lest you be susceptible to lawsuits.

Re: Just want to talk? Come here.
@ HaZ: What comparison? I was merely putting the shoe-price thing into perspective to show that $100 isn't an extravagent amount to spend on footwear.
Re: Just want to talk? Come here.
I haven't really been gone, I've been around on the internets, I just moved on from the NFS series, I popped back every so often to see what you guys were up to
I missed you all in that time though

Well, that's a given.weedman173 wrote:Stuff about permissions, etc.xHaZxMaTx wrote:Might want to refrain from using downloaded brushes for public, profitable use, lest you be susceptible to lawsuits.
That's like saying it's okay to buy a car for $100,000, when you could buy a similar car for $30,000 because a really flashy car is worth $5,000,000. Doesn't make much sense, now, does it?Porsche-AG wrote:@ HaZ: What comparison? Re: Just want to talk? Come here.
@ HaZ: When did the $30,000 car come into the picture? I didn't mention anything about a cheap pair of shoes being of similar quality to a $100 pair. If you're going to pay $100 for a pair of shoes, they better be high quality, and usually they are.
Let me rephrase your metaphor for you: It's okay to buy a car for $100,000 if it's of high quality build and reliable; and when compared to a $5,000,000 car it is relatively affordable for the features/quality/etc you are paying for.

Re: Just want to talk? Come here.
If I use brushes which would probably be rare because it's stuff such as photo doctoring (adjusting brightness/contrast, color, removing hairs that were on the lens when picture was taken, removing unneeded background objects, etc.) I'd always ask for the brush creator's permission before using any brushes of his/hers.xHaZxMaTx wrote:Might want to refrain from using downloaded brushes for public, profitable use, lest you be susceptible to lawsuits.

It's 9/11, yet again. God bless the innocent victims who died 6 years ago.

Re: Just want to talk? Come here.
Gettin' kinda tired of the whole 9/11 thing, to be perfectly honest. Yeah, it sucked (note: past-tense), get over it. "But so many people died!" Yeah, well, so do thousands of other people every day, but nobody seems to give a shiznit about them.

I don't dwell on 9/11
The people who weren't directly related to it just have nothing bad happen in their lives.
