Uh, 1.6GB download...I guess I'll go find a torrent for it. I have no intention of getting this at 60-70kB/s the official site offered.

EDIT: Ah, that's better ~750kB/s with a dozen of so sources atm. A bit over an hour to download.

Fileplanet speeds are good, just make sure you're downloading with IGN's download manager.

oh well, I tried to add some vinyls, they look veery blurred, I can't give out more details, because I put the gameplay in danger, low fps. very weird optimization for the game.

No.. Dunno what;s wrong with that. Also, on X360 the car is MUCH more shinier. Everything blings. This car looks like a matte paint? Is that correct?

The painting/vynil system sucks, because you only get 50 spaces between the whole car, and the only way to get a detailed picture is to use airbrushing, cartoon etc. And they cost 5k a peice. Just saying, they put more thought on the bodykits, than on the paint kits.
Lucky for me, I dont have to ever touch the game again.

I'm used to having about 3750 layers for the whole car, and it being free.

 Seems to me that is really firetruck up.. No offence, X360 vinyls are really clear and work properly when on X360 i zoom up on vinyls i cannot see a pixel poking out or anything. So i guess if the final PC version has that problem then you just gotta wait for a patch, oh and like what Tyrant said on X360 the car is much clear and shinyer.

Unless! since they just copyed everything from the X360 version maybe when putting it together the vinyls failed or most parts.
---------

I also have a funny feeling that this will be modable later on with the vinyl layers and most things.

Yeah, 3000 layers.. I've seen really ANY replica you can imagine. It's so cool, to me this vinyl system makes Carbon funny.

changed the OS back to XP, updated with the latest Catalyst for the video card and tried Juiced2 again .. same thing with the vinyls .. they are way too blurred to be understandable. Is it only me? I also seen it on Yael's pic ..

thanks for the advice, I tried that, but still no improvements. I tried to put the game on 1024*768 with the shader quality on last lvl(3 or 4), still not one single improvement...

Quick review, having now tried the demo out a couple of times.

Positive side: The game looks pretty good, and the visual modding options seem allright. Racing feels ok too, perhaps a bit twitchy handling but that's something that propably can de adjusted or takes some getting used to.

Negative side: Who the heck came up with the drifting concept?!?!? Apart from the semi-automatic physics much like in carbon which I guess is a matter of taste (I myself prefer the UG1/UG2 style, where you actually had to whip the car around to make it drift, not just turn into a corner) why on Gods green Earth are the tracks absolutely ridiculous?! :? C'mon, metal plate tracks suspended in mid air going around and between the legs of the friggin Eiffel tower? Yikes.
