Maybe because it sounds like some dudes with mental illness are ramming on their guitar and drums? I never have the feeling a guitarist in a heavy metal band has fully control over their guitar and master their skills.. It's just brainless.Tuners Rock wrote:Dope does actually Pwn, Cradle of filth Pwnz harder, and Tyrant? What's wrong with metal?

It's not Marilon Manson like alot of people say.
Rock Music
Re: Rock Music
Re: Rock Music
that really depends on the type of metal
e.g: Death Metal is totally different from Power Metal

It all sounds the same to me, wether it's Viking Metal, Trash Metal or you-name-it Metal.YaelDjiel wrote:that really depends on the type of metal

Re: Rock Music
Well I did say it was a WIP so I don't have all the bands I like on there. {Which would take me 4 or 6 playlists.} The other's you would all hate.
Re: Rock Music
I hate all the bands on that playlist.
No, really. Heavy metal isn't my thing. =p

Re: Rock Music
Dude, chill out. There's nothing wrong with metal, if you want some freakin emo crap listen to someone like Mindless Self-Indulgence's older stuff. (Does NOT include "Shut Me Up")
Re: Rock Music
if you think these sound the same, you either have an hearing issue or you just dont want to hear the differenceTyrant wrote:It all sounds the same to me, wether it's Viking Metal, Trash Metal or you-name-it Metal.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vpPdjVdYOp4 <- Firewind (power metal)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eAmMcBQavKE <- Dimmu Borgir (death/black metal)
and there's of course, good ol shredding
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nPGA3vjMLgE& <- Paul Gilbert (how can you say this guy has no control O.o)
Re: Rock Music
That's pretty kick-ass. I, personally, wouldn't call that metal, though.YaelDjiel wrote:and there's of course, good ol shredding

Re: Rock Music
Any type of rock is good for me. Though I've grown a taste for 80's heavy metal.

Re: Rock Music
Avenged Sevenfold=Overrated band who's new CD alot of people got hyped over, but the cd sucked. I didn't have to buy it to listen to it. MySpace let me listen. It sucked.
Re: Rock Music
Avenged Sevenfold doesn't suck, they're just more main stream hard rock.
Just because they don't always sing about the apocalyptic end of world accompanied by the sounds of someone gutting a cow means that they're crap.

Re: Rock Music
You mean to say that that's not why they're not crap?
Re: Rock Music

Re: Rock Music
Heh, that;s my opinion, so I don't care what your opinion is since it stays with you. But to me, the only good CD was Waking The Fallen.
Re: Rock Music
I was being serious. It should be, "Just because they don't always sing about the apocalyptic end of world accompanied by the sounds of someone gutting a cow doesn't mean that they're crap."
Unless you're trying to say they are crap...

Re: Rock Music
O bam! I didn't notice that.
But I do agree with Tuner, only Waking the Fallen was worth listening to. So I guess that means that they're partially crap...

Re: Rock Music
The thing that awfully ruins Avenged Sevenfold is the vocalist. No skills at all. P.O.S.

Re: Rock Music
He even f***** up with Korn live with singing Falling Away From Me. Korn should've gone with Nero Bellum from Psyclon Nine instead. Least he would sound better.
