Brasil has more problems than money... had many stupid laws... and for it many people here don't like to take attention of cops... so you don't see many visual tunings... in my little town we have many cars, is the highest number of cars per habitants in Brasil, something next to 2 habitants per car! So we see many gols, celtas, saveiros, vectras, golfs, corsas, palios few bmws, civics, Audis(mainly A3), mercedes, big pick-ups like s-10, f-250, dakotas... it's normal to see good audio performances here, but the common thing too see is motor tuning, open the hood and you see what's brazillian tuners make... it's normal to see old gols (with AP-2000 motor) with turbo kits with 1.5 or 2.0 kgf of pressure (brazillians love this motor and make miracles with it!)... another common motor tuning is with chevrolet Opala, a brazillian old car inspired in opel reckord, after opala evolved into omega...
I dont know the proportion in Spain, but the normal thing is to get 1car per family. Some families have 2 cars. And 3, it is an authentic luxury! The age limit to drive is 18. But young ppl use parents car, or get it around 20-22 years old. Oh, and I dont know any family with 'father's car' and 'mothers car', there is only 1 for parents.
In Spain ppl spent their money in houses. You can see ppl with 2houses valued in 200.000$ each one, but they consider as a crazy thing to spent 30.000$ in tuning a car. The people who tune a car, only make some changes in body kits, or ridiculous vinyls in poor quality. No one paints the car with style.
Laws are also an inconvenient. Each year they are more restrictive. For example, neon lights are totally banned. There are also many restrictions in rims topic, and mufflers..

The best looking cars in the netherlands are owned by what we call them boeren( farmers in englisch but they aren't farmers we just call them this because the life in small village's) This weekend i went to a village called Keijenborg and i saw a Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX '99 with a veilside body kit, momo rimms wich one i don't know, lexus head and tail lights a carbon X spoiler, with a dual exhaust systeem with rocket mufflertips. And when i looked inside i saw sparco F1 racing sead's a momo racingwheel, alliminum pedals and gearpoke. 2 big NOS botlles under the rearsead. The car was completely black with grean details and green neon under it.

I think someone needs a crash course in Ricer mentality.PerryMason95 wrote:Just come back from a driving lesson. Saw a red supra (pretty much stock visually), but it had a NOS decal.. so maybe sleeper? Parked next to it were to new EVO's, in black. I've seen all those before, but it looks like they have a new car now- a white Nissian Silvia.
Lesson 1- The more Decals, the more horsepower.
Ricers tend to put cheap decals on their car in place of actually spending money on performance parts, the most common being Nos (aka 'NAAAWZZ'), Greddy(aka 'Greedy', 'Gready'), and Vtec (most common on CRXs and early model Civics). Never assume that decals are telling the truth, because 99% of the time on street cars they aren't.
And the Silva could easily enough be an S14 or S14A 240SX, or an S13 with some overpriced headlight conversion. The best way to check is to scan the back end for an LSD and under the hood for an SR20DET, if it has a KA24DE or KA24E it's a 240. Nobody in their right mind should go through the trouble of legalizing such an underwhelmingly ordinary car, but there are some crazy people out there.
(side note- if it's a 240SX it isn't a Silva, it sounds simple but its a common mistake to call the body by its Japanese name. It's a generic Nissan S14/S15 until proven otherwise)
near my house there is a old supra(not tuned), a evo VI(really well tuned), 2 s2000(not tuned) and a mercedes clk that is not tuned.
The supra even stock and old as great perfomances but it's a little kind of ugly, but I love it anyway. I forgotten two honda integra type R tuned, a Honda CRX, a Impreza and some 206, Golf and Corsas that are pretty common anywhere.

A bit harsh don't you think? I was just letting people know what I saw.Drewb99 wrote:I think someone needs a crash course in Ricer mentality.PerryMason95 wrote:Just come back from a driving lesson. this is the ugliest fuk@@n car on the earth
its a DACIA 1310L 98 model
the engine has 75 hp 4 pistons in line 13l
this model price is 1000-2000$
with 100$ you can buy :front and rear bumper side skirts and much more
but if you can replace the stock engine with one from a golf1
you can do much with this car

[quote="ViperJay"]well, the fine thing is that everyone of us likes something different from other people...it would be sad and owfull to ride everybody in the same kind of car
btw, japan rules again

yeah... i totally agree that taste for cars varies really a lot... me thinks it somewhat depends on your country's reality... the fact that i can create a dream impreza on my NFSU doesn't prevent me from liking the slightly tunned gol's, golf's, celta's and even the fusca's (think it's called VW sedan and beetle outside Brasil) i see every day in the streets...
P.S.: i also would love to live in japan

I have 2 brothers doing some tuning.
One has a Mitsubishi Carisma. I think it's only sold in Europe. It's a 1.9 Turbodiesel and it's only tuned with a special Pipercross airfilter, a Cyclone(Spins air coming into the engine) and that was it.. Maybe he's gonna do the camshafts, but first he goes asking around if he can put a better and faster diesel engine in it from the newer Carisma model. There is some exterior tuning. Custom bumpers, sideskirts and a rear diffuser. There is a shogun spoiler on it, but it simply wrecks the rear, cuz it's to heavy for it. There will be a WRX spoiler on it, well, if it fits.
And the other brother has a Mazda 323F/Lantis 1.8. There is nothing done with the engine, cuz my brother can't pay it. He only works a few hours in a week, cuz he is a student. It only has a highwing, sideskirts and a front lip. That's it.
Pictures will come later..
