[NFSPS]uber lag after a race

After I complete a race or two (sometimes even later, or once it even didn't) the game starts to lag, badly. Then I have to restart windows to make it run nice again.
Any ideas?

Btw, I will ask EA support, but I need to know something. Will they sue me, because I borrowed my copy from a friend? Just preventive.

You can never know. Anything's possible, even if it sounds stupid.

I reported the bug and here it is.
In case you don't have an EA account, they said I should try closing all other unnecessary programs and try lowering sound acceleration (sound tab in dxdiag.exe).
After I said none of the solutions didn't help, they said it could indicate file corruption and a manual uninstall may be needed. Though they didn't mention to reinstall it...
