I don't think it's out yet. But it's mid December now. Hopefully it'll be available soon.

I'll give you one word of advice - don't make the same mistake I made.AtaSu wrote:I'vd made a muscle car, with 857 bhp and still I can't do a whilleie...
I put a wide body kit and spoiler on my Hemi Cuda, lowered the suspension and couldn't wheelie no matter how I tuned the car. Don't put too much downforce on it and you should be fine!
Hope this helps

Re: Your Thoughts about NFS: Pro Street
I still haven't done the whole career, however I can draw some conclusions on the game. EA did a great job in certain areas - but some people who worked on the game HAVE TO BE FIRED!! Can someone explain to me why some monsters like the New BMW M3, which has a 4ltr engine - 420bhp, cannot be more powerfull than the EVO X which has only half the displacement (2ltr). The same thing applies for the monster called Nissan Skyline 3.8ltr twin turbo! Come on! Who designed the car's end power has to be fired. Come on EA! Secondly are those ugly body kits... it's ok for autosculpt to modify the car's performance, but those kits are damn ugly! A pregnant elephant would be nicer. Last but not least, if you shorten the gear ratios, you'll get better acc but poor top speed, here good god it works the other way round! Is it my NFS copy only please? Anyway - I'm waiting for Gran Turismo 5!

Re: Your Thoughts about NFS: Pro Street
I agree with you schumito on that part. Have you ever seen a Honda Civic beating a Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 in a race? No. LOL sounds hilarious.

Re: Your Thoughts about NFS: Pro Street
Ok a Civic is a stretch but, there are plenty of cars that can beat a Murciélago on a track with a 3rd of the displacement (remember the Top Gear episode where a EVO8 MR FQ400 beat the Murc?)
SchuMito has a point, some cars have a weird performance tuning curve, like the E92 BMW it is underpowered compared to it's engine size. I don't know exactly what the max power is you can get out of it, but for a V8 it's not that much.
But certain engines even though they don't have a huge displacement are capable of extreme high performance figures, and if I am not mistaken the Block of a EVO is capable of very high horsepower.
The R34 GTR is also only a 2.6ltr but it's known for being capable of reaching extreme horsepower, same goes for the TT Supra.
I personally don't mind some of the bodykits, and he you can always sculpt the stock kit.
I think EA improved their styling in terms of WBK's alot, most of them aren't rediculously huge and wide, most are pretty decent (there are exeptions ofcourse) and even though I in the past did not WBK's, because in all games I fould them to be pretty damn horrible. but here on 2 cars I used them, I used one on the NSX and on the Cosworth, they where very decent and fitted the shapes of the car, wich is a new thing for EA kits.

game is sooo boring , I hate closed tracks , 80% are same tracks, no police, no girls , graphics are very nice , damage is always the same , Underground 2 is still the best . And please EA guys dont try something new again .

Re: Your Thoughts about NFS: Pro Street
It's true... some engines are capablu of huge power, however, displacement plays a huge part of it. If I can tune an Evo to give 250% of its power, If a murcielago has already 200% power over the evo, I can get an extra 100% from it by installing turbo chargers and intercoolers. The body kits could be ok... however... what about having a Veilside body kit or a bomex one? What about having West wings? Wouldn't the game be better. Personally I do like the closed circuits, however not all of them. For example: I cannot drift in the tokyo dockyard! If anyone can give me a hint how can I drift in the 1st drift track against RYO I would appreciate. I'm a good drifter but in this track... god it's horroble.

Re: Your Thoughts about NFS: Pro Street
Different opinions Yael..there's no need to "lol" at his statement. U2 WAS a good game.it HAD more customization than ProStreet...but anyways...that game is past.YaelDjiel wrote:lol..... just.. lol..superstipe wrote:Underground 2 is still the best
I'm at the end of ProStreet....this RYO guy is kinda hard tho..

Re: Your Thoughts about NFS: Pro Street
You got some good points, I give you that, but I really doubt you can give a Lambo 1280 horsepower by just adding 2 turbo's not without blowing up a VERY expensive engine.SchuMito wrote:It's true... some engines are capablu of huge power, however, displacement plays a huge part of it. The Idea of real bodykits is always nice, but then you would get several cars that don't have a kit cause they don't really make bodykits for them.
But most importantly, compared the some of the horrors EA gave us in the past (U2 for instance) I do like these kits, it would have been nicer if there where abit more options or atleast a option to choose the front and rear etc, instead of a complete kit, and not to mention to choose exhaust tips on a stock body, but then it's EA they always manage to annoy you with the little things that you KNOW that they can do, but for some reason they just didn't.
ooh and I agree with YaelDjiel, you would LOL at Ricerboys that say that U2 IZ DA SHIZNITZZ.
Customizing was the only thing that made U2 decent, the rest all sucked major bum.
And even the costomizing wasn't all that, it had some HORRIBLE stuff in it, and when I say horrible I really mean horrible.
I personally am glad that it's a closed racing game again, even though they could have opted for more/better tracks.. and yeah SchuMito, drifting in the dockyard SUCKS.
Re: Your Thoughts about NFS: Pro Street
As for myself, i find PS decent, not more. I enjoy playing it but it doesn't draw me to keep playing...With NFSMW for instance, i felt compelled to carry on, maybe do another race or chase and even Carbon was a bit more "interseting"...
The thing that lacks most in PS (for me) is an open environment to just drive around in and get the feel of the cars you get...it's a bit of a hassle to have to join a raceday just to try a car in practice. Not a good choice by EA, i feel.
As for physics i still think MW was the best from the recent NFS (i haven't played the first 4 much so i can't really compare). Anyway, if i want a "serious" driving game i play GTR2 or GTL or rFactor and the like, but the "squishy" feeling the cars have in PS (and was like that in Carbon) leave much to be desired.
Just my personal preferences.

Re: Your Thoughts about NFS: Pro Street
Actually I remeber we had the freedom of doing this in UG1. I remember this clearly. But I think EA thought it looked weird with different body parts all jumbled up. I don't know.. It might, to them.TheStig wrote:it would have been nicer if there where abit more options or atleast a option to choose the front and rear etc, instead of a complete kit, and not to mention to choose exhaust tips on a stock body, but then it's EA they always manage to annoy you with the little things that you KNOW that they can do, but for some reason they just didn't.
This is where we'll do EA a favour by saying: Get another game next year for more features dude!, but then it's EA they always manage to annoy you with the little things that you KNOW that they can do, but for some reason they just didn't.
Re: Your Thoughts about NFS: Pro Street
It could of been nice, to have Juiced2 customizing and NFS physics, real BK, on the e92 the .. hm, ACS kit, the Hamann kit and the list goes on, but probably, more luck next year

Re: Your Thoughts about NFS: Pro Street
I think EA f@ck up the body kits, those "Autoscuptâ„¢" body kits look like strange spaceship except some wide body kits look fine.I've not seen the name "stratospeed" before(and if this brand does exist and sells body parts like that,it will be "extinct" very soon
)
Re: Your Thoughts about NFS: Pro Street
it is a EA created brand, same goes for Concept Olsen and more of those.
Re: Your Thoughts about NFS: Pro Street
I just want to say exactly what someone else has said before me:
I mean, as far as tier 1 cars go, the gameplay is awesome, but as soon as you hit tier 3, the game becomes more about luck... its not fun in any kind of arcade way, yet it remains totally unrealistic...
I say that EA has more pained me then anything else with Prostreet. Everything about it is beautiful and I am DYING to love it, but when it comes down to the gameplay....
Fact is, the true fun and joy in this game (for me) is watching the trailers and viewing screenshots...
Yet I cannot stop forcing myself to try to love it
O well...
EDIT: The exact same goes for Test Drive Unlimited... Beautiful game, but if only the driving mechanics were a tad bit more real...
ANOTHER EDIT!! One thing that could make Prostreet alot better would be the ability to host a simple track day... you can set times around the track while socializing w/ others and tuning your car.... almost like a REAL race day... with practice sessions, qualification, and then the race...
I almost couln't have said it better myself. My desktop wallpapers still rotate among screenshots and media of Prostreet, the Icon still sits at the front of my racing games. Everytime I see my desktop wallpaper I load up this beautiful game, but as soon as I do, I realize... why? The physics are amazing, the graphics are stunning, but.. I have a tier 3 car... a car that can go 160 MPH around any bend without loosing traction...Believe me, I really wanted to love pro street, and really did like it for about half a month, I even went to the IGN forum to defend PS when most there loathe it. BUT! The enthusiasm has slowly but firmly diminished lately when all you can do is racing against some LAME AI crap, thanks to the rubbish not sim not arcade physics model which alienated both the keen racers and those who just want to have a bit of fun, with noboday playing online, and no free roam mode anymore, this game is starting to irritate a lot! But the final nail on the coffin is this new extension pack, which completely killed the only bit of fun that's left in the already somewhat plain game, bonus cars are gone, new cars don't exisit, level 4 parts unavailable anymore, and absolutely nobody play online against each other anymore. Now I think I agree with the game-spot review, without free roam, this game is just another lame racer, game play is not half as good as TDU, sim physics is nowhere near GT or even the Live For Speed game that's been made by a 3-men band, online play is trivial and absolutely rubbish, congratulations EA, you have finally killed the NFS franchise, at least for me. I remember thinking that it was just a marketing stunt when after the successful release of atari's TDU in March, EA rushed out to lure everyone into believing their PS is a big leap ahead. But as time passing by, with the constant marketing bombardment from EA, I started to look forward to PS, but look what we are end up with now, nothing! Why did they annouce the never-to-be rubbish extender pack before Christmas? This pile of shiznit completely ruined my Xmas! Bye bye NFS!

Re: Your Thoughts about NFS: Pro Street
Well im new to the forum and this is my first post, when i first played PS it had been a long time since i had played any of the other NFS titles, and couldnt quite remember how gameplay was in any of the previous games so i was pretty happy with PS, i've now beaten the game and have to say i am quite bored with it, i think EA failed on both sides of the fence, the game wasnt a terribly realistic true racing game or a fun laid back type game with lots of replay potential, it seems to be stuck in some kind of boring limbo of the two. GO STI!

Re: Your Thoughts about NFS: Pro Street
Just bought it today and already it's ridiculous. great game but a few minor setbacks. I'm up to the part where you have to race Ryo Watanabe. It says I've completed 9% of the game. I am using a pre-tuned Speed Dodge Viper SRT10. I get a 0.5 second lead on him and then wham, I hit a rock and it says I'm totaled. Where does the rock come from and how come my SRT10 can only get a max 3.4 second lead. Also have you ever heard of a 900 BHP Pontiac GTO? The car's much faster than the Zonda F model which I believe lacks general power but is a great inclusion for the game.

Re: Your Thoughts about NFS: Pro Street
Well I just used the codes for extra money and the energizer lithium car. I currently run the Lithium car for Grip, I have a Pontiac GTO for drifting and for Speed racing I currently use Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X. I bought another one for drag but also have a Nissan Skyline GT-R (R35) for drags as well. And no xturbo, I didn't mean 99%. I also used unlock all things but I still; did the races in order. I did the race day event which is at the end of the career map just before the king events. As in the last one before you each the crown races. Then Ryo just came up to my car with his and challenged me.powerof1000 wrote:You're racing Ryo at 9%? Did you use any codes?
