Re: Post your O SO GREAT system specs!
Yes its a LAN Party PC so the LANbox is perfect I thought it would run hot because of the small form factor but it runs real cool at about 45 degrees and i live on a tropical island sthe temp here is murder!
About the power supply its heat pipe cooled so it runs cooler than most power supply and does a good job pulling the heat out of the case.
And yes the speakers ROCK

I'll be getting something high end at the end of the year/ early next year... this PC's 5 year life cycle is almost over.... still has no problems running everything. Might pick up a G15 and better mouse mid year, because these are grotty...

Re: Post your O SO GREAT system specs!
Nice setup... I'm planning on moving my 2GB Ram up to 4GB as well.
Specifically what processor do you have, Core2 Duo E6800?

Re: Post your O SO GREAT system specs!
Yeah its a Core2Duo E6850. Before getting it I did some research on it. People found it to be very good for OCing.

Yup, that thing's a beast. Most people said they could push it past 4Ghz with ease. It was my the CPU I was looking at while trying to decide Core2 Duo vs. Core2 Quad.
Re: Post your O SO GREAT system specs!
Core2 Quad seems more like the powerhouse required to run Crysis on Vista. Just a regular Core2 Duo on XP can run Crysis fine.

That's actually what I was shooting for...Jopuma wrote:to run Crysis on Vista.
Re: Post your O SO GREAT system specs!
It is good but the best thing is the E8500 it can get to 4GHz with ease on AIR cooling and second best is the E8400 which is a lot more cheap (i think it's the same as the E6850, if not cheaper). Though nice choice.

Re: Post your O SO GREAT system specs!
I'm planning on putting mine at 3.5Ghz, once I get a better cooler and fix the FSB issue.

Re: Post your O SO GREAT system specs!
Yeah, but I'm strangely having a little bit of overclocking trouble with it... I figured I'd try to raise my 3Dmark score, since I saw it'd already gone up from the burn-in.

Re: Post your O SO GREAT system specs!
A little bit over 1,000 points... you can often get 200-300 extra points from it, since I have a quad core, you can multiply that by four.
It only works with a new processor... it really only works if it's a BRAND new processor.

What is a burn-in? How do you do it? And is it dangerous?

Re: Post your O SO GREAT system specs!
What do you mean 2 CPUs? Are you talking about Dual core / 2 Cores?
Re: Post your O SO GREAT system specs!
lol wut? I'm guessing PSU.. :prace_invader wrote:GPU: 500W
Not much has changed but that Core2Duo certainly is much much better than your old Pentium D.
