me too i have a skyline red R33 ive gone thorugh 140 mph and never did it again till i relized the sheer rareness of in the states because my friend drove his R32 at 60 in a 30 zone and got warning because the cops never liked the Skylines since most people who have them race them on the streets which is why he drag races it now.

Nice pic :D
Needle Speedos tend to be inaccurate from 60mph onwards though, although theyre only out by 5mph either way. Chances are, you could have been doing 85, or 95mph 8) Either way, thats excellent in fourth in a corolla :)

I was driving 200 km/h in my dad's Mercedes E200. It has 136 HP's. It was in Austria on highway. My dad was driving. My dad said that he tested it and it could go 230 km/h's. Although I don't believe him, I think it could be fun to drive that fast.

Yep sure is. Ive always wanted a white R33 Skyline (GTR obviously). Will hopefully get one in a few years, but not until the Supras finished. I never leave a car half done ;)

And Im a fool too, been looking at my log book today, my Supras a 95 not a 98  Im glad I checked, because the thing with the headlights was starting to annoy me (post 98 supras have smoked headlights...mine doesnt)

I've done 85mph in the rain in my Festiva, lol. Had no idea I could even go 80!

I was also in my dad's SLK when he hit 110mph on the highway. Scary stuff. o.o

My dad's friend just got a new protege 5. He was so hyped up about it. I went with him for a test drive and man he was going mad. He was driving 100 mph. I thought he was drunk!! Never drove with him again after that day.

As a driving instructor I should say:

That is bad!

but hé Im human also

but to be realistic... 100... depends one where you drive it, if it was a highway it's not that extreme? or is it??

I have to admid I do it almost regularly... when Im on the highway at night (or when it's just quiet...)

It was late at night. Around 11:30. And he wasn't driving on a highway. He was driving around downtown. It scared the heck out of his dog in the trunk. The dog kept on sliding back and forth everytime he turns a curve.

He kept his doggy in the trunk??? POOR PUPPY! How mean!

Well, when I hit 85 in my car, I was on a wet backroad near my house in the rain. I was having a bad day, and I was in a hurry to get somewhere. Never felt so afraid of myself in my life.

When daddy hit 110 in his SLK, we were on the highway on the way to Albany, NY. Thankfully we didn't run into any law enforcement officials. I could see it now, "Excuse me, Sir, are you aware you were doing 110 in a 40?"

I felt kind of sorry for the dog too! But if he put the dog in the seats than it would screw up the leather and he would have to vacuum the seats all over again. So there was nothing we could do about it.

I havn't driven that fast before. Didn't get my license yet. Next year I'll be old enough but I sometimes go for a cruise in my dad's accord. I've only gone 100 km. :(

Well coming home from work yesterday i came across a blue R32 GTR.Skylines around here are usually riced. Ugh. Anyway i pulled up at a traffic light and the guy straight away went into the lane next to me. I noticed he had friends in his car....... I could see they were egging him on to take me out and the driver wasn't to sure. I revved my Supra, he revved his Sky and i was like "This is gonna be fun......." The light went green, I punched the accelerator and the tyres were smokin!! Almost every1 in that Sky got a fright when i took off. I dont think they've seen a 600hp Supra before..... Well i hit 190km/h and that Sky was about 100m behind me doin about 150km/h. 1 word....... SMOKED

Do you have a lauch control system in the soop? Its worth installing if youve got about 560 to the wheels, I cant imagine the traction is too good. Ive seen 450bhp supras just sit on the line with the tyres spinning because of the stock t/c.

Anyway, nice kill. :)

that can also be a case of bad driving... I bet if you do it with less RPM on a high HP car you can beat him after the fists second.... as soon as your rolling your ready for the Kill... am I right?

Well, it all depends on the size of the turbo(s). The Supras are renound for being king of boost, when they spool up theres not much that can stay with one.

The launch does depend on the driver, but theres also a lot of other variables that come into play, namely grip. If you run 600bhp on street tyres, the likelihood is that youll sit and spin for a couple of seconds before you get moving. There is a launch control system available for the MKIV, which works like the F1 system used to, holding the engine at an ideal RPM before slipping into gear. Speaking of gears, thats another variable. Drag racers use sequential gearboxes with triple clutch plates so that they can get off the line well and at a decent rpm, and not blow up after 2 races.

I simply asked because, without an aftermarket t/c, the supra would have either just sat there, then had to play catchup, or if it was eased away gently, it would have taken some catching up to an R32 GTR, the quickest of the Skyline brothers.

I once heard a joke 'What do guys with 400bhp, 600bhp and 750bhp Supras all have in common? The timeslip'

Thats because of how difficult it can actually be to launch a supra, particularly a tuned one.

Then again, Ive seen a Supra take a 930bhp Evo 6, both off the line and over the 1320, so Im not saying it cant happen.
