Our user and Showroom Weekly editor Ahmad0410 got a chance to attend a preview of Need for Speed Undercover at the Games Convention Asia in Singapore.
The article will answer a few questions about the game, especially regarding visual customization:
Got a sneak preview on customization in Undercover. Basically, I can't see any differences in the customization feature this year, other than a different paint system, which is shown in the picture here:
I like the new paint system; more choices. I hope that made it into the vinyl coloration as well. Beyond that, there's really no more new information. I hope they fix the lag issue in the final game though; "loading" screens while driving in free roam are sure to ruin the experience for anyone.
Maybe this is why we're not getting a demo. The game's not in a stage where it's stable enough to release a demo. I hope we don't get another half-finished game.
Wow!! great paint system!! 10x EA for the SLR, i was hoping for this car to be in undercover !! coz it's an amazing car . i hope that more news about the cars, vinyls system and customization system are going to be available soon!! Undercover seems an outstanding game so far !!
You should realise that even though a car may reappear in a new NFS series, the handling WILL NOT be the same. One good example would be the Audi R8 in Carbon and in ProStreet.
How I wish EA would make the cars' handling constant throughout.
I had the same with the Peugeot 206 in U2.
I just loved it to death in Underground. so it was my first pick in U2.
Sadly it disappointed because it didn't feel the same at all....
