Are you just saying that because you "want more bars in more places" or because you're on a contract?

Because I don't want to start another contract, and the service around where I live isn't all that great. Just so you know I live in Colorado Springs, really close Pikes Peak which holds the Pikes Peak Internation Hill Climb

Re: What Phone Do You Have?
Does anyone here have the HTC Touch Pro? (It's similar to the diamond, only with an SD Card slot and full QWERTY keyboard.)
Alltel recently got the Diamond and is supposed to be getting this work of art by the end of Q4, so I'm hoping that by the time March gets here (NO MORE F&*$%ING RAZR!!!) the price may drop a bit.
Anyway, I love everything on it, except I'm not really sure about the thickness. If someone has it, could you tell whether it feel bulky in your pocket or not, or whether you can see the shape of it through your pockets?
Also, this question should apply to diamond users as well... does the phone have a silent setting? I'm just asking because the PPC6800 doesn't (friend has one.)
Thanks.

LOL a phone that doesn't have a silent setting? That's pretty homo for people who secretly txt their friends in school to tell them that a Halo server is up.....(i.e. me)

Re: What Phone Do You Have?
Just got a Motorola RAZR2 V9 Ferrari Edition, and I'm loving it!
Though I have just one issue - Skins installation. I never knew it was this tough to install new skins into a phone. With other phones I just had to transfer the themes VIA Bluetooth and install them directly to the phone. With Motorola it is rather long-winded.
Assistance needed.

I had the same problem with my V360. And unfortunately since its been a while since I've had it I have no idea what I did to put em on there.

Re: What Phone Do You Have?
hacktherazr.com has some tutorials on how to skin the original RAZR. I haven't been in awhile so I don't know if they've expended or not, but non-the-less it may be able to help you anyway.

Re: What Phone Do You Have?
Of course it has. There is even a wife/girlfriend mode - constant vibration when calls are incoming. Although I'm pretty sure my colleague installed some software that wasn't supposed to do that.Carcrazy wrote:Also, this question should apply to diamond users as well... does the phone have a silent setting? LOL.
He may just be to stupid to find it, he's not really, eh... technologically enlightened.
--EDIT--
LOL. I find this truly hilarious. My phone bit the dust today, for good. The damn thing won't send out any audio signals, so I can hear you, you just can't hear me...

Re: What Phone Do You Have?
It was the best Nokia phone when it's first launched. Everything about it was great. I had it once but I've sold it earlier this year.
Re: What Phone Do You Have?
And btw, how's the RAZR V9?
I'm actually planning on selling my old N70. I'll keep my iPhone for music and browsing.

I have a Touch Pro; and while it does not feel bulky considering it being a smartphone, it is not meant to be carried around in your trouser pocket. On the other hand, neither are other smartphones of the like. And yes, of course it has a silent settingCarcrazy wrote:Does anyone here have the HTC Touch Pro? Re: What Phone Do You Have?
Trust me. You'd wanna keep your N70. iPhone has a bad reputation of frequent crashes and freezing. I advise you to use your N70 as a back-up phone. It's one of the most reliable Symbian phones in the Nokia line.taz947 wrote:And btw, how's the RAZR V9?

The V9 is good.. Although I have to say, moving from Nokia to Motorola isn't the easiest thing to do. I needed time to adapt to the phone. Now that I have, it's definitely much faster than Nokia in terms of operating system. But it has lots of limitations. For example, it wouldn't take an MP3 file which is more than 9MB in size. Same goes for pictures which are bigger than 1MB. It's kinda silly actually.. I'm gonna call Motorola up to check on this.
The phone also heats up pretty fast when you're in a phone call for some time, which leads to rapid battery drainage. So a back-up battery would be necessary if you're a long talker.
But put those limitations aside, the phone is generally good. It's thin, it's beautiful, and it's fast too! It's not named Ferrari for nothin, you know?
Re: What Phone Do You Have?
I've been using the iPhone heavily for almost 7 months. It never froze or something like that.
As for the Motorola, I heard some bad things about it. Not just about the V9 but all phones are weird.

It's weird in some parts.. But I've gotten used to it. In fact, I'm kinda liking it now. I got what I wanted, and all phones have their flaws no matter what phones I get.
I bought this simply because of the design. There's no such thing as painless beauty, hence its weirdness.. Heh!

Well I'd rather have the Asus-Lamborghini....although it's probably twice as expensive as the V9...

The clock looks like Murcielago's spedometer. Except that it's not red and white.. Shweet!
But I don't like it. In general, I hate Windows Mobile phones. If it were sleeker I'd have considered. For now, given a choice for Windows Mobile phones, I'd go for the Omnia.

Re: What Phone Do You Have?
If that had a touch-screen, I'd be saving my pennies.
EDIT:
Holy S*** it DOES!
To bad for it's freakin' $1,200 price tag.
Also T-Shine, where do you keep your Pro at then? I'm a high-school student so I need to be able to have it on my person, but where it's not clearly visible...
