I've never seen a RX-7 here in my town, or in Italy as well, but I've seen 2-3 RX-8 (it has had a great request, so mazda thinks 1000 RX-8 will be sent in Italy in a year). I like very much that car, it has wonderful look form me; btw I think is more directed to the pure commerce than the RX-7.
I think they're both beautiful, but if I have to buy one for tuning it, I certainly would get the 7...once more after Grez's performance explainations

I share my opinion with many rotary enthusiasts, a four door RX is a crime. The 7 was a pure sports car, whereas the 8 is a family car aimed at a sporty market. For that reason, Id never even consider buying one.

so racing seats make it a real sports car...

that is cool, Ill tell my mom to put racing seats in her Hyunday Lantra and it will be a true race car! WOW
And Ill do the same to my dads Toyota Picnic.... should go real fast then!

what about a John Deere?? if I put in a sportseat... will it be sportscar???

well if u take a new stock RX-7 and a new stock RX-8 their will be a huge difference like seats, RX-8 is probably faster. RX-8 is 240HP
btw i know some of u are saying u can tune RX-7 but u dont even have to tune the RX-8. its already good.i dont i just like the RX-8 better but im not saying RX-7 is bad. i like it as well.

^I think we have a ricer here^
Most people actually like to tune their car to the maximum performance instead of leaving it at stock. :D I also like the RX-8 because of the way it looks but in performance the RX-7 wins!

Yes, yes it does...

But the RX7 has 260bhp. And Twin Turbos. And is lighter.

RX8 - £20'000
RX7 - £7000 + £13'000 in mods.

Thats the difference. In buying an RX7, youre taking a car thats already faster than the 8, then having the change to do some serious work to it. That 13k will push it to about 400-450bhp, same as my old one. Set up properly, thats a 12.1 second 1/4 mile.

Well, if you had the £20'000 to start with, then bought an RX7, the £13'000 you had left would buy you a hell of a bodykit.

OR

You could have bought an RX8. Thats it. No money for tuning, visual or otherwise. No money for petrol, tax, insurance...

Sure, RX7 is good, and RX8 is good too.

It doesn't really matter if a car has more horsepower. You won't need it if it's lower in weight.

I like the RX7 more, but I don't mind taking both.

Im not saying you shouldnt like the RX8. There are some extremely fast ones (albeit with engine swaps to the 20b), but Ive heard one runs in the 8's.

But for the money, Id always go with the 7.

im going to change i like the RX7 more since it looks way better on the street with a C west kit or a Veil slide kit.If the RX8 gets a makeover like its big brother then i would go back to RX8.

There are several bodykits available for the 8. Im still a 7 fan though.

Veilside:

This is the best one. Veilside also do another kit, but its basically a front lip, some skirts and rear slats.

Theres also the Mazdaspeed kit.

I actually prefer the rear of the second veilside style. The rest though, isnt better in any sense of the word.

After looking at it closely, you were right! The rear does look better than the other one. The first rx8's rear is just a little too much curved in the middle.

This is what i would like the body kit to look like! and i used paint!
I changed the rear and added the lower lights to the front. Don't expect the best cause i used paint!
