Interesting car builds
Re: Interesting car builds
Nah, I saw a caternam with 2x Yamaha 1l 4cyl engines... coz the guy was a bike tuner before. Heavily customised of course.

Benz Patent Motor Wagen (1886) with a Ford GT engine.
That's it. I've grown tired of being ignored. I am officially leaving NFSUnlimited.net.
Re: Interesting car builds
Well Top Secret Japan shoved a V-12 into a Supra so lets shove a V-12 into a GTR now
Re: Interesting car builds
Again with the bike engines... but 2 x 1L bike engines in W8 configuration in a 180sx... so it can be shoved far back making it mid-engined... and revvy.

Re: Interesting car builds
That looks like the funnest car, ever in the history of cars.
Seriously, why does every small car have to be an underpowered p*ssy car? I'd love to drive a car like that, it's like a go-kart on steroids.
Hmm... I think an old 4th gen Nissan Maxima with a RB26 would make a great sleeper. (Okay, I'll admit it - I have an obsession with Nissan engines, specifiably: the RB26.)

I'm a Nissan enthusiast... and 2x 1L bike engines. SR20 is good... but there's better like an F1 style engine if your budget allows, lol. Could probably fit nicely further back in the engine bay, MR nissan 180?

Speaking of motorcycle engines and the Hayabusa-engined Smart Car, I'd like to see an S2k with a 12000 RPM rev-limit that you'd actually reach on a regular basis while driving it somewhat fast. (I've seen people getting their Hondas revving that fast on YouTube, but that was for a few seconds at a time only.)

lol better yet: Prius with RWD and the 1UZ-FE Toyota V8. lol make hippies cry
Hmm, SpeedHunters has reported on some interesting car conversions, like this R35 GT-R wagon and the GS with the 06+ front end (except the engine) swapped onto a 98-05 body.
Idea: GRB Impreza WRX STi sedan? I mean, they make WRX sedans now, so you could probably swap in all of the STi hardware and make some wide-body fenders like the ones on the STi sedan...

even better: Prius with RWD and the 1UZ-FE Toyota V8 and electric motor.
or... with a small motor to charge the batteries and a hefty electric motor to provide lots of powah and instant torques.

Oh my goodness, you're a genius. I can't believe the awesomeness of this idea. I want that bad.Koenigsegg_Rox wrote:Rolls-Royce Phantom with the Bugatti Veyron's quad-turbo W16.

Re: Interesting car builds
(Yeah, I know you will flame me for the following, but still.)
Bah, in my opinion RRs are ugly and that would be a waste of a Veyron engine. Sorry. For someone who can tolerate the looks of a Rolls-Royce, though, that idea actually has merit and could be cool. I personally would rather take an unmarred Veyron.
How about this: Subaru Impreza WRX STi GRB (2008) Sedan? You could pull all of the STi components from the STi wagon and put them into a WRX sedan, making another of the familiar STi sedans.

Re: Interesting car builds
You've already said that for starters, and it's not for performance although it'll frickin fly, but that would be one of the fastest luxury cars ever.

Re: Interesting car builds
Rolls Royce are not supposed to look good. They're just for rich people to brag about their wealth, just like eating certian expensive foods.
How about a stripped down Elise with a Evo 9 MR engine and with that rally system lag prevention system.

lol, sorry, I guess I have beaten the "RRs are ugly" topic to death.
Evo-powered Elise? That actually sounds really cool.

Re: Interesting car builds
I want to do my old project again, i started it off but never quite finished it unfortunatly
an austin allegro which i got for free fitted wiht a metro turbo engine tuned to around 170bhp and strut conversion to get rid of the stupid hydrolastic suspension, got as far as fitting the engine and getting it running(stupidly fun tho on a farm track and 155 wide tyres)still have bits kicking about. WOuld have been an excellent sleeper
the one im doing right now which has always been a bit of a pipe dream for me is a mk2 escort with a cvh engine as to my knowledge it hasnt been done and seeing as its quite a tuneable engine (ive got one makeing 150bhp at 8350rpm to go into it) it suit the escorts tail happy handling, should be quite quick when its done
