Looks to me like they just recycled the TDU 1 map. I was really hoping for an entirely new environment.

The map looks the same to me. I don't exactly remember the previous map, but this still looks like Oahu to me.

Yes!!!Aren't they (autobahns) massive highway thingos in the Netherlands. I wiki'd it and your allowed to do whatever speed you want on them. Wouldn't that be awesome to have a racee on one of those things! I find it unlikely that TDU2 will be there though as the leaked images show a lot of offroad racing. I also heard somewhere that it will be in the same island but with a new location.

Not confirmed, and defiantly not a mod. I'm a modder for TDU and i can say that no modding tools can do that. We can't even get rid of the file size limit. So all mods have to be under 1MB, as for textures. Menu mods ain't possible as far as i know.

From what i know by images they are reusing the same GFX engine and the same map. Its sorta like Burnout how they added new cars and will be that new map.. I believe it might be like that. I think they will also be using the same cars as the Aston martin in that showroom image is exactly the same.

Which would make sense, in the old TDU inside the Database files they have stuff like 'Bugatti' and Toyota, Mazda, Mitsubishi aswell many other car brands. there is also dealerships they have a second dealership for Mercedes benz they also have Lamborghini, Ferrari and many others that are in the database which are locked. For the weather someone told me there is rain coding but unfinished and was encrypted? so i think it would be the same TDU but on the TDU2 disk which will become the main disk with extra features new races etc etc.

Now reason why i think that is cause someone on TDUC found the place where the license center will be.

It looks the same as TDU 1....thats dissapionting. I liked TDU 1 but I dont think a "remix" is needed.

Well it should be on PS3 as TDU was awful on PS2. On Wikipedia it says that it will be for the PS3 as well and there is some proof that it will be or is being made as the site, Test Drive Unlimited 2 shows when clicked on. Apart form that it also says that in an Atari press conference it stated that the TDU series (among others) will be revisited after 2009.

You know, strangely, I'm also on the lookout for a free roam street racing game. I already have MCLA and I was thinking of getting FUEL but the reviews have put my thoughts on hold. I could think again and just buy it for that HUGE map even if nearly everything else in it sucks, but they do have something to find that gives you new liveries if you explore the map.

Based upon what I've read, they are planning to have damage so it would make a great addition. There was even one picture of it which showed a fuel meter. How would that feel?

So they've found out the name by finding it in the CV of the developer. Apart from that, nothing else seems new.
