most entertaining part is stalling in front of a trafficlight with loads of car behind you getting frustrated

The only time I've driven a manual wasn't actually on the road. Went out in a pine forest with my dad's GQ Patrol and gave it a go. Wasn't too bad, but it feels weird with a gearstick that comes up to near-shoulder height lol.

That happened to me actually.. Not at a traffic light though. I don't have a permit yet, 'cuz I won't be buying a car anytime soon, and it's rather useless doing it now seeing how expensive cars are in Singapore.

Anyways, I was learning the basic knowledge of driving with a stick with my Dad back in Indonesia. I didn't know what to do and he kept telling me to not let go of the clutch, at the same time telling me not to hold it for too long 'cuz the clutch will wear out. So I freaked out, let go of the clutch completely, and the car jerked forward and it switched off. Then my Dad looked to me and said, "Son, not as easy as it looks, does it?"

Epic failure on my part. Haha!

FINALLY online again. I moved this summer, and the ISP needed 2 months before we finally got our cable-TV set up a week ago, and today we got Internet as well. Life is once again sweeeeeeet.

Mmm, this weekend is going to be awesome.

Just got back from Warped Tour today - saw some of my favorite bands live. And tomorrow... Formula D! And the next day... More Formula D and some Indy Car action!

...Then I head back to school on Sunday.

Well, at least these three days will be awesome.

As it turns out my sister probably won't be coming back for ages. She just got a full time job up in Alice Springs to help pay off the MX5. Which is in Mount Gambier, so she can't actually drive it.

Considering the G27 is releasing soon, the G25's price is looking pretty promising. AU$280 on eBay. Thinking of preparing myself for GT5 with one of those "racing cockpit" things and either getting the G25 or strapping the DFGT to it.

I am honestly surprised at how few derogatory remarks I've gotten while driving the Miata. Been driving it for more than a year, now, and I think today was only my 3rd.

And they've all come from people driving trucks.

But don't worry about it... In the eyes of most truck drivers, if you're not driving a truck you're a pu**y. Hell, I got put-downs before I even had a car. o.O

...Not to mention it's hilarious to see a truck get flooded because the idiots decided to run through a "little creek" that turned out to be 8 feet deep. They actually tend to do it often, too.
