Especially for Touge drifting!

Track guides are a super addition to SHIFT as they act as a helpful tutorial to drivers racing at all levels, weather you are learning the track for the first time, or trying to shave those last few seconds of your best lap time.

^If you're at the point, where you worry about perfecting your lap times, you don't need a track guide. You will probably know the best line through any kind of curve and know the track like the back of your hand. This is only useful for first timers tbh.

Good point, if your are an experienced racer then you will already know the track, and the relative racing lines. So a track guide is only going over what you already know. If you are bombing around a track by yourself then you are competing with yourself, and the clock.
