First SHIFT DLC Announced

The first downloadable content (DLC) pack for Need for Speed SHIFT has been announced. It's titled Need for Speed SHIFT Team Racing Pack and it's key features are a new online team racing mode and 5 new cars, including 1967 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray 427, 1967 Shelby GT-500, 1969 Dodge Charger R/T, 1971 Dodge Challenger R/T, and 1998 Toyota Supra Mark IV.



The DLC will be available December 1st on Xbox 360 and PC and December 3rd on PlayStation 3 in Europe. North American release is December 10th. It will be free!

Why wasn't the Supra included in the game anyway??? It's always excellent to be able to tune and drive some extra cars, I think the old Corvette Stingray and the Charger R/T will be especially popular.

what is surprising about it is that it's free! what the?!?! never expected this from EA.

these are the first older cars/proper muscle cars to be included in shift right? the supra doesn't seem to fit... possibly didn't get the licensing done? dunno...

A nice and FREE DLC from EA? Adding the cars I wish the most (old american muscle and the Supra) without having to pay a cent? And just 2 months after the game was released?? Holy shiznit... I'm so surprised. I never thought EA would do this... now I can't wait for this DLC! Shelby GT500...

Thanks EA. FINALLY you're doing things the right way.

well this seems like a sun ray in the rainy could of shift. i guess after thousands complaining about supra and the others they just had to give it out as a dlc but i am very surprised that its free.

Ah, a great relief to see the Supra in there, though tbh I'm not too suprised that they included it in DLC, same applies for the classic muscle cars, great to see them included, and awesome news to hear it's free!

Around the same time yes, but they are separate installs.

EDIT: After hearing the latest NFS podcast, I stand corrected - the PC patch will include the DLC in a single download and install. Consoles will have separate patch and DLC downloads.

now, if they will continue listening, then its likely we will receive another car pack.
next pack could be more japanese and european cars i say. since we are talking older cars, the older skylines(those under R34) could be nice, although there are other nice cars to choose from , for example Honda NSX/NSX-R.
as for european, how about a Porsche 911 Turbo S, or Porsche GT1?
and missing american cars...hm...
the Mustang Boss, and the one that was in Pro Street , Carbon, Most Wanted...2005 Mustang GT...isnt it?
a Corvette C6 or the C5 would be good too, as would be older Vipers , like the GTS.

for me... i'm crazy to see the Mercedes again... like CLK from Carbon if i'm not wrong... and CLS from Undercover... or the BMW m5 from NFS 4... love that car...

If they're listening to us and if they're indeed thinking about releasing some more DLCs, I hope they add some new tracks, not only new cars. This is what I wish:
