quite good just that the F is like a 7...and the color style should be a bit more vivid on the heading, but thats just my opinion.

Okay thanks. I reckon the F looks pretty kickass, I didn't actually flip it though, that just comes with the font. I just tried flipping it arround then and it didn't look that good anyway.

With the colours, I tried to keep with the NFSU colours of orange and blue, but with a slightly faded colour. I did however up the brightness and contrast off the headings and got this -

Looks really good, but it'd look even better with the official nfsunlimited gunship font.

with changed contrast it looks better, maybe if someone does the talking with EA we might see clan/crew member only vinyl!

Pretty good, mind if I post a modified version with Gunship (then Houb can post his and we'll just choose)?

Yeah I was thinking about that bojan, thanks for the link. I also like the lines on the background Nitro has included in his modified version.

BTW Elven, U had the "racing crew" in orange, so nitro just changed that for his version.

So I'll make the changes and repost it

It’s a great idea to form a nfsunlimited racing clan. I’ll definitely take part when the game is available.
We should form some type of gang, paint all our cars in matte black, and claim a section of the map… Like the docks. If anyone comes into our territory, we'll have a gang war. :)

Eh, sounds too hXc.

Plus we can't really claim a section of the map. If we did, we'd have to fight about 50 other clans, lol.

 imagine that chaos on the map when all of 50 clans wanted a territory. 1 clan per 1 street/alley?

I think that EA said that there isn't gonna be any territories for crews because it would just get chaotic.

But if you had like mini servers it would be cool.

Smaller servers would be good. But territory battles on the map of World would be a mess.

I'd be up for it as long as it keeps the steering from Undercover back, seeing as SHIFT screwed it! Though I must admit with the GT Steering mod it's actually playable now ;)

Does anyone remember Kaerar/Trixx/Oblivion from Atlantica on NFS U? I think I might be a valuable team member if you'll have me :)

Oh God, please no! The steering from Undercover? #-o #-o

Since I played the BETA, I can tell you the steering is not like in Undercover. It's pretty similar to Carbon with some tweaks like in Most Wanted (it's a mix between both). If they had made World like Undercover in terms of handling, I wouldn't play for more than 5 minutes, that's for sure...

I was actually meaning the previous style not literally Undercovers (which was truly awful!!). Personally I liked MW's but preferred Undergrounds. U2 wasn't bad, but felt like a child had puked crayon all over the place.

I can't stand the progressive style of SHIFT is what I was meaning. I got the GT mod for SHIFT and it fixed the handling a bit, still can't get used to it though. Just get bored and end up doing donut's for about 20s then I quit again.

You wouldn't happen to know what causes the Paint/Vinyl's to get messed up in SHIFT would you? I seem to be stuck with really low res textures (I may have mentioned this in other places too...) and messed up paint/vinyls after a clean install :(

messed up paint: dont know, other than the bug i wrote about in NFS SHIFT bugs thread on this forum
messed up vinyls: low res? they are like that. :/
NFS World handling is Carbon with added smoothness? from Most Wanted, so no overexagerrated tire screech, and cars handle nicely.

Here's a link to some ingame images of whats happening:
http://forum.nfsunlimited.net/viewtopic ... 50#p371950

Don't want to derail the thread, just no-one's looking in the SHIFT forums at the moment ;)

Thanks Dr H. I'll see what I can do to be in there then :)
That's great news ElvenAvenger, I liked MW's and Carbons handling to certain degrees. Still think the first Underground had it best without the boat style body roll, but the feel of U2 was much better. Less manic RSI inducing key tapping ;)

ouch...now thats BLURRED and LOW RES vinyls. that aint nothing like it looks in my game. they are extremely high definition compared to what is on your screenshot...could it be video drivers?
also Underground 1/2 handling would not fit with Carbon and Most Wanted cities.

Actually play U1 and then go play MW and you'll find the handling not so different other than the slower car reactions and the slower delay of the car to recover from oversteer. The input method was very precise, but IMO while I learn't it's foibles it was way to manic on the keys (20-30 taps per corner...) if you were good. U2 fixed that but introduced the boat like body roll that has continued to this day. That annoys me so much I can't describe it. I liked MW apart from the odd feeling of not always having control. Something Carbon made worse IMO, especially on the downhill drift. TBH I could drift the normal physics fine, the drift physics were so screwed it wasn't even funny.

If they had the physics from Flat Out 2 (with more realistic weights for cars) for everything ingame then we would have the best racing game out ;)

your right, in MW whenever you started, you would do a burnout, unless you can stop this from occuring with a gamepad/wheel, but on keyboard its always a burnout when trying to accelerate. thats why i liked BMW M3 GTR best, because of its handling. once i got it going i could get past a lot of corners while driving full speed so there was no worry of having to slow down and having to deal with any oversteer/ other stuff.

@our Crew
maybe we could persuade EA to include some sort of "nfsunlimited.net" sticker as they did in Shift, so we could put it on our cars so we recognize each other. that is because of some people stealing nicks and you, me, or anyone else might end up having to use alternate name.

OR we can make the 'nfsunlimited' sticker ourselves, less posers that way... just put it on a visible part of the car.
