If I'm not mistaken, there are at least 2 NFS games in the works, one by EA Blackbox and another by Criterion. There are some interesting names on these domains, with hints of what might be the next game. I especially like "Need for Speed: Underground East", maybe this is the so waited sequel to Underground 2? I hope so.
Some names like "Street Kings", "Showdown", "Time Attack" and "Drift Kings" make me think of something like ProStreet or SHIFT, while "Redline" and "No Limits" makes me think of Hot Pursuit 3.

Re: EA files 14 Need for Speed domains
yeah Underground East sounds real interesting...
there are a lot of those names that sound like "game modes" or a title you win for winning a mode... don't seem like a full game's name...

Re: EA files 14 Need for Speed domains
I'm between:
NFS Takedown (a reference to burnout)
NFS Underground East (PLEASE!!! U2 sequel!!!)
NFS Red Line (probably a remake of NFS 3, dunno but I got that feeling)
They dropped the names, now we have to figure out which one of those is the Criterion NFS lol
Can't wait till june! XD

Yep UG: East would be awesome, Underground 3 would be great!
But serious, can EA think of a NON cheesy name to call their games? I mean "NFS Lightning"?! Far out...

Re: EA files 14 Need for Speed domains
Redline sounds like Carbon to me... and UG East probably is Underground 2. If not, I most likely won't buy it anyway... NFS No Limits = NFSUnlimited much?
Re: EA files 14 Need for Speed domains
True, NFS Lightning sounds really bad. It could be a sequel to Nitro though. NFS Nitro... NFS Lightning... oh god.Dr Houbenheimer wrote:But serious, can EA think of a NON cheesy name to call their games? I mean "NFS Lightning"?! Far out...
Anyway, I'm dying to know how my post on the forum went to the main page of this site! I just created a topic on the forum, and then I see the same post (even with smileys lol) on the front page. Is that supposed to be like this or I somehow have special rights?
Re: EA files 14 Need for Speed domains
Underground East!!!! Underground 3...you can't go wrong with this ..im waiting long for this..hopefully it will be much beter than underground 2 and lots of simulator and fun (also in cockpit)..my money is on Underground East..

Underground East sounds pretty interesting, but "Redline" has a nice catch to it.
Seems like this website is a ghost town. No longer worth a visit or anyone's time.

Underground East aka Underground 3 for me, please.
anyway, did anyone else find Need For Speed: Proven funny?

Re: EA files 14 Need for Speed domains
I hope it will be "Underground East" because the other names sound like a 14-year old's idea... "Eliminator" seems like a rip-off from "Juiced: Eliminator"...

Underground East is the only title I'm interested in.

Re: EA files 14 Need for Speed domains
Maybe some of them are just there too fool us, after all, paying for 14 domains isn't a problem for EA, IMO. I'll go for Underground East (a UG sequel would be great after 6 years) and Over Drive (sounds like a Criterion title to me). Also Boost sounds like a Nitro sequel.

Also, the RTR-X project 'stang is announced to be in the next nfs:
The car introduction:

The announcement that it's going to be in the next nfs:

Definately a bad-ass car.The styling is WOW!
So, will it be the boss car or something?
Underground East FTW,if it is as detailed as these drawings say, I'll just..change my mind about EA?
Whaddaya think?

Wow what a beast!
I hope it is indeed in a next NFS game. They could be referring to World or any of the other two.
Btw, here's something I found over at NFS Planet:

Probably at E3 we will get an official announcement. Please let it be Undergroud 3 or Hot Pursuit 3.As recently reported, EA registered a pile of new domain names, of which one of them might be the name of the new Need for Speed game, scheduled for release at the end of 2010.
Criterion Games posted several mysterious cryptic twitter messages, as for example, this tweet:
Red Lining It.... (8:58 AM May 18th via web)
An hint to the name Need for Speed: Red Line? Or just a plain tweet without any real sense or background? The next tweet "All The Way And Making It Pay..." doesn't make things clearer...
What do you think? I guess we'll have to wait for the E3 in mid-June until we get more information.

Re: EA files 14 Need for Speed domains
as far as i know, those weird tweets from Criterion are 150% sure to have hidden meaning linked to something they are working on..
as for the modified Mustang...i'd love to see that in action

Re: EA files 14 Need for Speed domains
Also this:
RLIATW......AMIP! - STILL!!! hmm.. Red line and a bunch of other letters.
Personally, I wouldn't like a criterion game made in their style: Cartoon-ish,crappy game..Just like, I dunno..Something that wasn't where nfs series was aiming..Not hating on burnout or nething, but I dunno..I won't buy it..
Still hoping for Underground East

Re: EA files 14 Need for Speed domains
I like tue Underground East, Street Kings doesn't sound bad either .
Re: EA files 14 Need for Speed domains
in my opinion:
i got a feeling criterion's release is gonna be RedLine, else they would not put "relining it" on twitter for no reason... sound like possibly one of the old games, High stakes anyone?, remember high stakes CD is a speedometer....
Uderground east aka. UG3, may this be the NFS being released for Q1or Q2 2011?

Re: EA files 14 Need for Speed domains
Agree with zedex: Time Attack, Street Kings and Drift Kings can't be just one full NFS game. Eliminator and Takedown are red herings of course. Boost and Lightning sound like Nitro sequels. The Run screams "cop chases" all over. Over Drive, No Limits and Red Line are generic, and therefore the most likely ones.

Re: EA files 14 Need for Speed domains
I can imagine seeing the NFS Series Franchise developing a sequel to NFSU2 but personally I think NFSU3 sounds more suitable than NFS: Underground East, just my opinion.
Re: EA files 14 Need for Speed domains
Sorry for bumping and old thread, but I just had to: NO shiznit SHERLOCK, YOU THINK? I'm pretty sure that EA won't cram out 14 NFS titles in the next couple of years...BogdaN92 wrote:Maybe some of them are just there too fool us, after all, paying for 14 domains isn't a problem for EA, IMO.
or will they?
