Next NFS titled Hot Pursuit Race?

E3 is just around the corner and we're pretty sure that that's where the next Need for Speed (developed by Criterion) will be announced. And then there's pictures of what appears to be EA's booth at E3. If it's real, then it's a big chance the NFS coming out this fall is titled Hot Pursuit Race.
We'll know for sure in exactly 2 days according to Criterion website. Thanks to spectre01 for pointing this out!

If this turns out to be true, and Criterion is indeed making a sequel to Hot Pursuit 2, then I think lots of people will be real happy (me included)!

I just hope they don't make a too arcade game, with lots of destruction like in Burnout. I want a clean game, no power-ups, no destruction, no tuning, just top notch supercars racing at high speeds through exotic locations, while being pursued by a ferocious police force and an even more ferocious bunch of opponents. Add one of those firetruck awesome soundtracks and we have one hell of a NFS!

It's not another hot pursuit. criterion tweeted that "the cat is in the bag" which means it's not another hot pursuit. What I think the sign means is that you can play hot pursuit race event at that specific kiosk, but I have read elsewhere in the Internet that the name might be just need for speed. Thus returning to the nfs roots with a simple name for the game. Hp 3 would be cool though

Yay! Another corny EA game name! Haha, if that is the case, I would prefer just HP3. Either way, it's an interesting decision that they've gone back and explored the success of their older games, if this is the game, obviously.

I kind of don't think the title of the game is the whole "NFS: Hot Pursuit Race". If you look at the posters in the background with the cops, they leave off the "Race" part. I guess we'll find out in a few hours, though.
