I heard they confirmed that there is going to be a 2010 Nissan GT-R at the need for speed wiki. If they are having a GT-R they better have a Lancer Evo in there.

well the GT-R R35 is a supercar, the evo, is not. remember these cars are all going to be stock, so far from what ive heard of. the only chance an evo will make it in the game is if it is in the lowest tier of cars, depending on how fast/slow those cars are.

Haha, what's wrong with a 4cyl turbo? An Evo, either with the 4G63 or the 4B11 can get to 400awhp easy with just bolt-ons and a tune. I'm not sure if you are arguing that the Supra should be in because it can reach 400hp with mods yet you are arguing against the Evo simply because it has less cylinders?

It's just as easy to get to 400whp on the Evo, the Supra's 2JZ just has huge HP potential, which is irrelevant because I'm pretty sure this game will not have customization and a 1400whp Supra would be impossible to use on all the windy forest roads we've seen in the game so far.

In addition, if they are including the Camaro SS, which is is a $30k'ish car, I don't see how they couldn't also include a $30k'ish car from Japan too. I'm not sure if Criterion will add an Evo 9, X, or the UK FQ variant to the game (I'd love them to, especially since it's basically been in every NFS for the past 6 years or so) but if they do, I could definitely see it competing with the other starter cars.

Edit: Just did some internet investigating and here's a glimmer of hope.

I can't find any current Mercedes performance cars that are further down the alphabetical order than the SLS AMG, and I'm going to also go ahead and assume that the 370Z will be another Nissan, putting it right before the R35. That would still leave 2 question marks for cars that come after Mercedes but before Nissan in the alphabet.


I highly, highly doubt that Mercury would make an appearance in this game (unless as a police car, but I still find it unlikely), MINI has never appeared in any NFS game (to my knowledge at least, I just checked Shift and ProStreet's car lists) and this doesn't seem like a likely place for it to start, so I'm going to have to guess that the Evo X and the Evo 9 will make appearances in this game, especially since a Lancer has appeared in every NFS game since Undeground 1 and the Evo IX + X have made joint appearances in every NFS since the X went into production.

Also note the one space after the Porsches. The only manufacturers I could think of to put after P would be Subaru, Toyota, or Tesla. I forgot where I read this, but I heard that along with Honda, Subaru doesn't want their cars in any street racing games anymore. That leaves either the Toyota Supra or the Tesla Roadster in my opinion as the last car in the list.

i would love to have the evo just as much as everyone else, i just dont think it will sorta fit in, remember its a 4 door sedan. now dont say, "oh the porsche panamera is a sedan" but its a porsche, with a porsche V8; 400hp, supra comes with 320 hp 318ftlb torque, and can reach a speed of 177 mph without a restrictor. an evo on the other hand is heavier, with 295 hp and 300 lbft of torque, yet it is all wheel drive which results in understeer. but i see that it is very possible for the evo to make it in considering the slowest car known so far is the audi TT coupe, 340 hp, 332 lb-ft of torque, and top speed of 174, and its allwheel drive with understeer, also the evo X has the dual cluch which is very nice.

also u said something about the tesla roadster, hmm 400+ miles of road i believe and the tesla roadster has 120 miles of battery, quarter through the map and ur out of battery lol, imangine during a pursuit, the battery runs out, or the police use an emp hahaha

Aren't you taking this a bit to close to reality? .. it's a game, besides the cars, Hot Pursuit doesn't come any closer to reality ..

I don't understand this point either. Having an additional two doors doesn't make it any less of a sports car, just look at the cars in FIA Group A. Also I really have no idea why you'd even bring up the issue of understeer. A quick Google doesn't show anyone saying the Evo X is an understeering monster that can only go in straight lines. The S-AWC system basically makes understeer a non-issue.

And to make this discussion even less relevant, it doesn't even matter what the specs of a car are in real life when Criterion could give any car stats such as 900hp or a 300mph top speed for any reason they want. They will balance the tiers of cars to be competitive with each other. Similarly, while I haven't played this game, it seems you'll easily be able to powerslide any car in the game making this discussion of real life handling pointless.

If its as fast as wikipedia says(Well, i wouldn't trust them but...they don't have to always be wrong.)
its place in the game would be very well justified.

Now, i have nothing against a Lancer, but i'd prefer some 2 door tuners instead, like Supra.


Why am i suggesting such a car? Well i guess it could happen, when looking at the carlist...all the "unusual" vehicles (atleast for NFS series) are there.

Yea, some of the cars I think are exclusive to being cop cars. This urks me a bit, I'd much rather have all cars be available as racers and some available as cops. Then again racers would have a clear advantage, so I guess it's understandable to have certain cars on only one side.

What's strange is the fact that the CCX is listed as only a cop car when we clearly saw it as a racer in the first trailer. Maybe everything isn't definite yet.

yup, and on the cars section of the nfs site, it lists the CCX as a cop while it shows a pic of it as a racer, unless... its an undercover cop
